The outro of runaway is definitely a filler lol, this is monotonous as f---, dud eis using the exact same note & frequencies for the entire outro

More like Real is a top song on GKMC lol. I would expect this kind of comment from someone who doesn't know s--- about music history & black music.

the 12 & 7 minutes songs on gkmc are well balanced, there isn't any extended & super long instrumentals outro using the exact same frequencies & notes during several minutes.

    Exactly

Some people say that if you don't have a "musical ear" you will not learn how to play & listen to the the music. But even with that, I don't see how you can't hear the problem with Runaway, theres is a clear lack of inspiration on the album version of the song

LMAO. No. The outro can be interpreted as a lot of things, but being a filler is not one of them. Runaway is arguably his most emotional song, and the first 6 minutes isn't even the main reason why. In the beginning of the outro, he says "I'm gonna be honest" and then the auto-tune drowns out what he's actually saying. Why? Some people interpret it as him crying. Some see it as him reading his suicide note. Others interpret it as him apologizing for the Taylor Swift incident. For whatever purpose he originally had for it , it was never a "filler". Like everything else on the album, he had a specific vision. For this one, he didn't give a specific meaning to it because he wanted us to interpret it in whatever we saw fit

The Art Of Peer Pressure encapsulates the cinematic qualities of the album the most efficiently.

When I first played GKMC and Art Of Peer Pressure came on, it was one of those mind blowing moments, I got chills when the beat dropped, everything about that track is perfect imo.

Oh, and USP = unique selling point, nvm.

Much like how I felt when I first found out Collect Calls was a Bonus Track and checked it out, such a deep song.

I never said anything about Runaway, but I'm a fan of the outro. It's not my absolute favorite thing about the album, but I like how he uses his voice as an instrument to convey the emotion of the song.

I just listened to Real again, and I'd forgotten that there are aspects I do like about it, but it falls really flat for me overall. It being "the definition of soul" isn't a quality that automatically makes it good...could you expand on what that means, a bit?

    MBDTF for me.

Real is a drag and I never liked Poetic Justice. Also, the skits tend to get annoying the more I listened to it.

For now GKMC because I listen to Kendrick more than Kanye at the moment, but maybe it would be different in a week.

That's the small problem I have with this album, it's not as good as it could have been imo. Other albums don't give me that feeling. I think that GKMC is a classic, but it could and should have been even better to be placed among the best of the best in this genre. At least that's what I think.

It's accurate that GKMC revolves around more "traditional" rap themes but it doesn't really matter, since they both have different lives and personalities; both albums are quite honest, despite one of them not being that real street s--- that many value.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I've been busy these last few days and didn't have the chance.

30 seconds of humor isn't as bad as 2 sub par songs to close out an amazing album

I literally have no words. Reevaluate your life b Runaways outro is one of the greatest things I've ever heard and its been covered so many times that he's not a great singer

But the fact that you're judging the outro on its technical note aspects and not the raw emotion shows its probably not for you. Not being a d-ck I'm js
