Feb 19, 2015 GLASSHOUSE PRETTY CLOSE BEING DONE. EMINEM IS ON PRODUCTION, NOT YET CONFIRMED TO HAVE A VERSE. http://www.mlive.com/entertainment/detroit/index.ssf/2015/02/detroits_royce_da_59_says_slau.html DETROIT, MI -- Fans of the rap supergroup Slaughterhouse could soon be in for a treat. Slaughterhouse member Royce da 5'9", a Detroit native, told MLive.com on Thursday the group's new album entitled Glass House is "pretty close" to being done. "We pretty much got what we need," Royce said during a phone interview promoting his PRhyme project with DJ Premier. "We're nitpicking it right now. "If we had to roll it out tomorrow we could." Royce and DJ Premier will perform Feb. 26 at The Blind Pig in Ann Arboras part of a 26-date headline tour. It includes support from Your Old Droog and Nas' artist Boldy James, two performers considered to be upstarts in the industry. The Ann Arbor date is the only Michigan show part of the PRhyme tour. Royce didn't reveal a specific timeline for the Glass House release, but sounded confident that Slaughterhouse fans will be convinced it was worth the wait. A photo of Slaughterhouse and Eminem in the studio surfaced on Slim Shady's Instagram this monthand created speculation Glass House is nearly finished. In addition to Royce, Slaughterhouse includes Crooked I, Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz. Each member is determined to give his all and bring out the best in each other, Royce said. "With that group dynamic right there, it's not about putting out as many albums as you can," he said. "I think when you have four guys in a group that are that good, the fans expect something close to a classic." Royce credits Slaughterhouse backers for helping the group set a higher standard than what was previously established during the making ofWelcome to: Our House. "We realized what mistakes we made on the last album, based on the criticism and based off of just reading comments and what people liked and didn't like," Royce said. "And that was a good guide guide for us to just come right back in, pick up the best (expletive), the best beats, laughing about the best (expletive) and just being us -- just doing what we do." For more from Royce about Slaughterhouse, the PRhyme project with DJ Premier, working with Eminem and other topics, follow MLive.com. A full interview with the rapper will be posted by 5 p.m. Thursday.
Feb 19, 2015 I'll listen to it and have been a SH fan since Joe Budden's Halfway House. However, not hyped at all. Hopefully it's good. EDIT: Wasn't a "deluxe" edition of PRhyme suppose to be out this month....? Or was that just a rumour?
Feb 19, 2015 I heard of Prhyme deluxe edition but just rumours cuz Preemo is doing New album with Crooked I. Prhyme is awesome. I love that Preemo is on Glass house too. I.love his beats.
Feb 19, 2015 Man I tried to get into Slaughterhouse when it was first announced that they signed to Aftermath, but I just couldn't.
Feb 20, 2015 YES. WT:OH was bad and it's even worse when that's SH first album. But we still give a s--- hope on this project. The snippets are pretty good and maybe the album can make something different
Feb 20, 2015 I'm still very interested in this. I liked the first album a lot. WTOH was pretty awful, but with Just Blaze involved I have faith in the new album. The snippets and recent material have been solid.
Feb 20, 2015 Werent they saying that WT:OH was pretty much done months and months before it released....
Feb 20, 2015 maybe it would have been better if like every track wasn't a single that our house verse doe
