Apr 28, 2015 Caught this last week. Great watch. This video features interviews with former Scientology members and administrators who have since left the organization. In these interviews, they detail some of the many human abuses that the CoS has perpetrated over the last 30+ years. The doc also briefly biographs LRH, giving more context to the belief system that keeps these people beholden to one another. Check out the Documentary thread.
Apr 28, 2015 Before watching this I had thought that Scientology was a religion just a little bit crazier than the others. Turns out I was wrong. Absolutely ridiculous how a glorified cult like Scientology is still allowed to operate under the guise of a religion. Almost bad enough to make me turn on Cruise... almost.
Apr 28, 2015 It's a PR disaster for him and his BO stock has been dropping consistently over the last few years so I'd say they got him locked in. If he came out and exposed them for what they really were, they'd be done and he'd be back in the good graces of the world again. I seriously can't believe that he believes any of it. He just got in and now he's stuck. Like so many other people over the years. But if he isn't trapped in it, I'd say Travolta 100% is.
