May 6, 2015 My experience with buying headphones is, you should spend a little more money on it. By cheap headphones, the sound quality is just bad, the material is bad and the warranty is bad. I have the Bose AE2W, is a little more expensive (€250 for the wireless version (recommended), €180 for wired version (euro's, not dollars)) But this is the best purchase i ever had. Sound quality is just perfect, the headphone fits your head perfectly, even if you put your headphone on for 4 hours or so. They are easy with warranty, have this headphone now for more then 2 years and without any problems they gave me already 3 new bluetooth adapters. So from my experiene, spend a little more money and you won't regret it, I don't want anything else now. Edit@ Don't buy a headphone with 'extra bass'. You need to listen to the music as how it's supposed to be, a clear sound without a headphone who changes your music. Look at the Beats by Dre, the only thing they did is f---ing with the equalizer, having a big bass boost don't make your music better.
May 6, 2015 ^ Bose is notorious for "colored" sound. For headphones especially, avoid Bose. Also, someone before mentioned Sennheiser. Sennheiser makes amazing headphones however most of them are open-back and if you're primarily listening to rap/hip-hop, open back headphones won't have that punchy bass that you may be looking for.
May 6, 2015 I'm not superb expert in this, but the Panasonic RP-HTF600 gets some love in some of the headphone discussion boards. They are relatively cheap, thus they are no design wonders and cheapo plastic with the pads being not the most comfortable (but easily switchable for much more comfortable pads, just google). However the sound has been relatively praised, even though the bass isn't punchy if that is what you're after. But they're pretty good for the price and once you switch the pads for more comfy ones, they are pretty comfortable. Plus as they are easily in stock in my local electronics store, then I figure they might as well be obtainable for you too.
May 6, 2015 What do you mean with 'colored' sound? From my experiene with these headphone is that the bass impact is a little light, but the sound is really, really clear and you don't even have the feeling that you have a headphone on. def won't avoid Bose. I do recommend Senheiser, they have headphones in every price class so I think there is always a headphone what you are looking for.
May 7, 2015 Which one? I had a Pioneer headphone myself but I really hate that thing. Can't have it on your head for more then 20 minutes or it will hurt.
May 7, 2015 i bought sennheiser momentums and compared to my in ear munitio's the bass is just barely there without turning it up all the way. i mean bass is a huge part of hip hop music and love when it really hits you but these momentums just dont do that which i dont like. sound quality is A1 though but ear cups are a bit small for me
May 11, 2015 Not gonna lie, my Astro a50 sound amazing to be gaming headphones, and the bass kicks a--- compared to turtle beach
