Aug 26, 2021 I think what makes this verse great is the fact that there isn't much complex writing he's just rapping and his bars are very straight forward so everything is easier to catch. He's still rapping his a--- off of course but he's not worried about punchlines and s---, we need more of this.
Aug 26, 2021 I know you don't like old Em comparisons but that's exactly what he used to do before his main focus became squeezing as many ryhmes and punchlines on every line. At some point he started compensating for the fact that he had nothing to talk by being more technical. Sure technically it's impressive but most of the time it adds no value and sucks the enjoyment out of the music. My thing was never about him doing the old Em. Just for him to rap normal and stop putting so much focus on technicality because it affects his delivery.

Aug 26, 2021 No you're completely right, I'm not one of the Em fans who listen for the complex bars that you need rap genius for I'm not smart enough for that. s--- will fly over my head, I do think Em needs to relax with godly bars and just rap make more music that's easier on the ears. Zeus leaving for heaven a lot of Kamikaze etc just very straight forward rapping or easier to catch.
Aug 26, 2021 I won't speak on those albums, more so Kamikaze because I didn't really like it. I think his delivery on Stepping Stone was dope but I didn't see the rest as much of an improvememt delivery wise but maybe i'm just picky. I dunno We seem to be on the same page in terms of what we'd like to hear from him which is cool. More straight forward lines, less lyrical miracle. For him to chill a little.

Aug 26, 2021 I can go without the fast s--- honestly like gnat didn't need it I feel like now he is over doing it but at times when it goes the song justice like lucky you then I'm all for it but yeah I feel lyrically we want the same but sonically is where we might have a different idea of where we'd like him to go
