Oct 26, 2021 i agree that removing a confederate flag from a white trash character is a stupid half measure but i also understand why they did it w/r/t current culture. half the point of gta was always satirizing stupid american culture, the rockstar devs outright said part of the reason they took so long for GTA6 was because like how do you satirize american culture when real life is as stupid as the GTA universe rn lol

Oct 26, 2021 i understand the principle but this isn't the same at all, GTA in no way hinges on a character having a confederate flag on their shirt whereas a WWII videogame is explicitly about nazi Germany. like I said I agree it's a dumb half measure like removing episodes of tv shows featuring blackface from streaming but the idea that a minor detail being removed from a game means that future GTA games are somehow going to be censored in a way that majorly affects the game is a huge reach.

Oct 26, 2021 I dunno they are more concerned about gore and things like that. As an example l4d when you k--- a zombie they just disappear. In gta 3 you cant s---t their legs arms or heads off and no rampage missions. But then some other brutal games are really okay like dead space. Don’t know a lot of ww2 games but thats not so much censored in videogames here. In music or videos you get cancelled here tho if you say something against jews or do nazi s---

It's totally time. However, at this rate, that means I want that s--- extra gory. Equality, goddammit. Don't have me feeling like you're going to censor unnecessary s---. People like Phil Cassidy existed in The 1980's (And they still do. But for the sake of nostalgia, what was the point of its removal? Oct 26, 2021 I don’t mind the remastered s--- as long as it came with some GTAVI news. Like a release date or some info/screenshots. As far as that screenshot, I don’t see it as GTA going all out, trigger The Quartering, Woke Go Broke style. GTA loves satire too much to be woke.
