May 23, 2015 If you're into surrealistic, style over substance cop dramas, then it's totally worth watching. Saw it for the first time two weeks ago and it might just be one of the coolest movies I've ever seen. Vintage Mann that gets way too bad a wrap just because of audience/critical expectations at time of release. If it was called anything else I think it would be considered one of Mann's best.
May 23, 2015 I thought it was lame, but that was before I was big into movies. I saw Slant put it on their 2000s list which made me give that a second thought.
May 24, 2015 I'm glad this thread has finally taken off..lol but everyone who guessed mine was wrong. I'll give a little hint, it's a film noir..a popular one.
