D12 gave him a platform to rap about the streets in majority of D12 songs like a Pistol, Pistol for example Eminem is doing a fire classic hook about a street topics about his Gun basically. As a solo artist u rarely hear the same street and Gangsta oriented topics besides a few exceptions like Soldier

They also helped him in a major way establish himself as a top producer and one of the best producers at the time because Devil's Night was the first album Eminem produced entirely which launched his production career and due to the high quality beats he produced on this album other rappers began going to Eminem for beats

I always enjoyed swifty. He had some good verses
Proof was good as well. Aside for that, devil night was a great album so can’t complain about D12 for giving us that album
But yeah imagine fight music, revelation, s--- can happen as solo songs.

I think you're all forgetting this was his friends lol he was the friend who made it and he brought them with him and put them on, which is f---ing amazing.

D12 (aside from Proof, who said Royce had more potential than any member of D12) didn't like Royce for years because they were jealous, according to Proof..

Royce dropped a line in a freestyle like "f--- anger management, I need to manage my anger" and D12 took it as a diss, since they were on the Anger Management Tour.

D12 got into Eminem's ear, and Eminem stopped talking to Royce.

Royce then had an interview, and they asked Royce who he didn't like and he said "D12, they're the worst f---ing rap group ever"

D12 heard it, released a diss over some 50 Cent beat, I forget which. (Edit: Backdown)

Then Royce dropped Malcolm X.

The entire beef was on a DVD back in the day. I think it was called Hip Hop Beef or something.

I still think D12 was awesome on Devils night and a few other songs too. But yeah this seems to be how it goes with some of the huge name rappers, Pac's outlawz never got big. Biggie's junior mafia never got big and D12 never got big.
