Sep 17, 2018 D12 gave him a platform to rap about the streets in majority of D12 songs like a Pistol, Pistol for example Eminem is doing a fire classic hook about a street topics about his Gun basically. As a solo artist u rarely hear the same street and Gangsta oriented topics besides a few exceptions like Soldier They also helped him in a major way establish himself as a top producer and one of the best producers at the time because Devil's Night was the first album Eminem produced entirely which launched his production career and due to the high quality beats he produced on this album other rappers began going to Eminem for beats
Sep 18, 2018 Swifty MC vay and kuniva are f---ing dope and both D12 albums are great listens, especially devil's night. Every D12 feature on an Eminem album is dope Bizarre is the only one guilty of ruining songs
Sep 20, 2018 Bizarre alone ruined a bunch of songs, and even shat out verses on Eminem solo's too. Are there any Em featured D12 tracks where Em isn't the best part? Only when he's uncharacteristically s--- himself. I don't mind D12. I quite liked Proof, and Swift and Kuniva were alright. Bad Meets Evil would have been infinitely better.
Sep 20, 2018 Without Proof, Em might not have reached the levels that he reached. Proof and Bizarre helped connect Em to other Detroit artists and the Outsidaz, who would bring out Em at their shows. The group also helped establish Shady Records as a successful label even though it eventually turned to s---. When D12 were successful, commercial rappers all had crews. As goofy as the group was, they helped Em fit into the commercial landscape by being his crew. I think most people see them as a bunch of dudes that Em helped but they were there for Em before he blew up. The general audience just didn't see that.
Sep 20, 2018 Man i’m glad for D-12 is also happy Devils Night wasn’t a solo Em joint I love D-12 world also use to b--- that album h--- of a lot heavy back then Swifty, Kuniva, Kon Artist (Mr. Porter) and Big Proof, Bugz are my favorite members from D-12 Bizzy he’s alright never mind his rapping that much on songs oh if I remember D-12 was a lot of dudes at the time when it started course there wouldn’t be no Infinite without Mr. Porter so i’m all smiles on that to Devils Night 9/9 D-12 World 8/8 And s--- on you still gets mad plays
Sep 21, 2018 The story about this situation is Eminem and D12 agreed that whoever of the two blew up first would go and sign the other, that's why Shady Records was started. So I guess Eminem felt obligated to sign these dudes. I'd much rather have King Mathers and a Bad Meets Evil joint over the two D12 albums.
Sep 21, 2018 I liked Devils night. What happened with the outsiders? Not much mention of D12 on SSLP.
Sep 22, 2018 they probably influenced a lot of his personality and humor, look at Royce and Porter now, they influencenhis boring dad jokester personality
Sep 22, 2018 D12 is to eminem what outlawz were to 2pac. They are just there and force me to skip parts of the song.
