The 20 hours a week thing is what would turn me off to it..

The car ride to work could be used to listen to simhas latest freestyles and other new tracks!! That combined with working at a call center won't make you hate life at all

if you have nothing else to do, yaw

and $16 isnt bad by any means. 20 hours a week part I missed actually, but yeah this is basically what my friend did for a few months. The commute is also a downside but not a deal breaker if you're making enough to offset the gas.

idk, i dont see anything wrong with doing it for a few months or while you find some other part time or full time gig

no, if you're commuting that much, you better have a 401k imo, lol. But I lack Narsh's professional acumen and work ethic.

you think about the time you're wasting on the drive, plus the wear/tear on the car, it hardly justifies the hourly wage, let alone given the fact its only 20 hours a week. not the worst thing in the world, but hardly ideal.

Why would you get a 20hr per week job instead of full time? Unless you're at school or live with your parents of course.

I'm working as an interviewer at an call senter, and enjoying it. This is my third year. You learn to ignore all the mad people on the phone, and it all becomes rutine basically. Some benefits from a job like this is that you can do whatever you want while at work (read, text, hang online etc.), and that you can work when you want (at least where I work).

The main negative is that you can grow tired of the work. Therefore I only work 15 - 19 hours per week (Only part time job, while going to uni).
If the wage is alright, I would say go for it. And give it some shifts before you decide weather to stay or not. I getting 18$ per hour, while drinking coffee and studying for exam at work, and occasionally interviewing someone over the phone. Easy money really.
