Aug 13, 2016 I'm too burned out to make a long intelligent response but even though I agree ledgers performance was amazing and the best, I think a lot of ppl put him on way too high of a pedestal, and a lot of people didn't even give Leto a chance because he wasn't weird in the same way Ledger's interpretation was. I mean that "damaged" tattoo was f---ing cancer but everything else about Leto's take seemed refreshing from the trailers and whatnot.
Aug 13, 2016 I was excited when Leto was announced, he's a great actor, and a great character actor. With that said, I don't think his Joker was very good. Maybe it's because he's the first one to try it out after Heath's iconic legendary performance, but I think it's got more to do with his own portrayal than anything else

Aug 13, 2016 RT, like I said I haven't seen the movie so I can't speak for his entire performance but the concept of his version of Joker was amazing imo. Ledger was boss but he never had that purple lamborghini lurkin. I'm confident Leto would've at least done justice to the character had the movie not been an apparent flop (again going off other people's views)
