@Narsh Okay brother, i am not going to make a f---ing review of every song, but i can tell that i heard almost any song of the list and for me they are not good.

His flow feels awkard. The rhyming is simple, average.

I am not lying when i am talking that he put cringeworthy puns even when he is talking about a serious subject matter. For example, Gorgeus:

I treat the cash the way the government treats AIDS
I won’t be satisfied til all my n----s get it,
    get it?

Say whatever you want about those bars, is stupid and when you hear it for the first time uncomfortable. He talks about a lot of things but he just doesn't know how to manage them when he is rapping.

Other example: New Slaves. This song is talking about something so interesing as racism and materialism. But he is talking with a vague description. Just look at the first verse:

My momma was raised in the era when
Clean water was only served to the fairer skin

Doin' clothes you would have thought I had help
But they wasn't satisfied unless I picked the cotton myself
You see it's broke n----- racism
That's that "Don't touch anything in the store"
    And it's rich n----- racism
That's that "Come in, please buy more"

"What you want, a Bentley? Fur coat? A diamond chain?
All you blacks want all the same things"

Used to only be n----s, now everybody playin'
    Spendin' everything on Alexander Wang
    New Slaves

Yeah, he is talking about racism and materialism. But the way he talk about those themes is poor, boring, vague and corny.

Is like i talk about the economy in America and i say:

The economy in America sucks, now everybody want money
The poors are dying, and still everybody want some honey

You see? I am talking about a really important subject matter. But not correctly.

    What's vague/corny about New Slaves?

Nah, because there's lots of great music that has come out since then. But I could put it on pretty much any time and not get tired of it.

The song. The verses are vagues. I don't know how to say it but look again and compare them to other Hip Hop verses talking about the same subject matter.

You see it's broke n----- racism
That's that "Don't touch anything in the store"
    And it's rich n----- racism
That's that "Come in, please buy more"

"What you want, a Bentley? Fur coat? A diamond chain?
All you blacks want all the same things"

Used to only be n----s, now everybody playin'
    Spendin' everything on Alexander Wang
    New Slaves

Those bars. Is vague, boring, doesn't look like he knows about what he is talking about.

"Oh, all the black people wants jewelry and stuff, those guys used to be nice and humble, they are new slaves" you see? He got a lot to talk about this subject matter in one verse, but he is saying the stuff that everybody knows, but instead he give a new name for those persons: New Slaves.

It's plain, simple, brillant and extremely quotable. What do you want more from a rap verse?

Like i say, he is talking that they want just money and materialist things, and that they are new slaves.

Yeah, but, what is the thing at this point that we don't know?

"Kanye is a genius, he talks about such important things, he is the voice of our generation" Kanye is saying the same thing that a regular person would tell you in the street. Is not brillant, is just boring.

I would understand that he wanted to the first verse to be short. But in my opinion he could tell everything with metaphors instead of saying the things so directly. After all, he is the "Greatest artist of our generation", right?

I think that some concepts behind Yeezus are really interesing. But he just doesn't know how to rap.

The fact that there's a good chance he'll have a return to form is proof that it wasn't a fall off. Imo falling off is like what someone like Eminem did, where they went from a certain level for a certain amount of time to a much lower level and consistently stayed there. Cudi started trying to self-produce, so Indicud could be viewed more as like a failed experiment imo. Same with WZRD with the exception of a few tracks, and then SF showed he can still be a bit interesting, but he's regaining his footing so to speak. And Lu only had one bad album. People need to learn that one or two missteps =/= falling off

I am a HUGE Yeezy fan and I agree with this, but to be fair he wrote and performed half the albums lyrics in like less than a day.

You know materialism isnt even the focus of the part you quoted? He's talking about being profiled and stereotyped regardless of economic status

Materialism involves those things you mention.

Also, the description you put for what he is talking about is more complex than the song for itself lmao

Yeezus is not bad at all but I still prefer all his other albums. Tells me more about how great Kanye is tbh.

People thinks that Kanye is talking about complex things and that he is using metaphors and blablablabla when in the reality he is just a random rapper talking about what we already know with a interesing presentation. That's it.

Just read the lyrics of the entire Yeezus album and you would know what i am talking about. If he was the same rapper but without the mysterious and minimalistic presentation the people would think he is trash.
