Say whatever you want about new Eminem but respect his prime and his work. MBDFT is not even close of what MMLP means to the Hip Hop community. And is not even my favorite album of Em. MMLP is top 3 of all time and that s--- would never change.

Kanye's lyrics sounds like a Souija Boy freestyle compared to what lyrically MMLP is. Who Knew, Stan, k--- You, The Way I Am, Marshall Mathers, Drug Ballad and i could keep going.

Cept no ones talking about what each album "meant to hip hop," we're talking about which one is better

    And universally consensus is MBDTF

Edit: also, the way I am isn't "lyrically" great,
you could've picked a better example. And kanye's rapping on MBDTF if nowhere near as bad as you're making it seem. The fact remains that MBDTF is considered one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time

Don't take it to heart, I make fun of anyone I disagree with. But I also try to have rational discussions. Nothing I said in the post you called stupid, was wrong

Your opinion is just your opinion. Is not the true.

Every person of this forum thinks that Em prime was GOAT, and they agree that The Way I Am is a masterpiece. You are literally the first person i see that call this song "trash". Not even in KTT i find that type of stuff.

Lmfao this is why no one thinks they can have a discussion with a Stan, and why EVERYONE calls people like you a Stan to begin with:

Point out where I ever called the way I am trash. It should be easy to do if I EVER actually said that. I said that there better examples of "lyrical" on MMLP than a song mainly driven by the anger/delivery/flow. The lyrics aren't mind blowing.

    And my "opinion," isn't that.

Every critic almost universally praises MBDTF as one of the grestest hip hop albums of all time - that's a FACT

Stop getting so defensive, you're starting to make s--- up

But i never see a person in other forum saying that MBDFT is better than MMLP or TES. That's not the same.

Lyrics aren't mind blowing? So when Kanye put cringeworthy puns in serious songs he is a genius but when Em does something like The Way I Am he is just "meeh, is ok"?

First of all, technically the song is almost perfect. He raps with complex rhyme schemes meanwhile including the same subject matter and expresing the context in a explicit way. He DESTROYS the America of that time pointing the hipocresy of the people and the goverment, and defending Hip Hop when it was in the worst position of the world.

Kanye would never do something near lyrically speaking to The Way I Am.

The entire song, excluding the chorus, can be described as being written in anapestic tetrameter. However, though this poetic label accurately describes the short-short-long pattern that dominates Eminem's flow in this song, it fails to capture the musical rhythm of his delivery, which in Rap is more significant. Eminem delivers his short-short-long "anapestic" rhythm in a highly syncopated manner which is completely off the beat: he rests on the beat itself, 1,2,3,4, and delivers his words on the other 16th notes (e & a), accenting the last 16th note, the same place where the kick drum hits. This highly syncopated rhythm gives this piece much of its dramatic tension and is identical to the rhythm of the piano accompaniment.

I like the concept. I like the first 2 verses. I just hate the 3rd verse (horrible lines) and the hook.

You've yet to point out how I'm r-----ed

So Jesus Walks isn't as much of a statement about the country as you claim the way I am is?

Have you actually listened to the music of the artist you keep trying to critique?

    You don't understand.

Is not the subject, is the way you speak about the subject.

Jesus Walks is a good song, i wouldn't lie. CP era got some good lyrics. But is not even near of The Way I Am.

I recomend you to listen again MMLP and you would understand what i am talking about.

the point of the understated hook is that he can't believe how people he listened to are looking at him like peers
those parts of the third verse are there to show he can still make s--- jokes if he wants and people will have no choice but to complain about it on something they've already bought (again)

You've yet to point up how I'm r-----
you say things like "I'm r-----"

So Jesus Walks isn't as much of a statement about the country as you claim the way I am is?
that's correct because kanye chooses to have paparazzi around him and eminem didn't always want it

Have you actually listened to the music of the artist you keep trying to critique?
    I'm not trying
