Sep 30, 2016 Last year most of my favorite stuff was lesser known. Almost the exact opposite this year. Check out Westside Gunn's Flygod and Kamaiyah's A Good Night In The Ghetto if you haven't yet. Gunn's collaborator Conway also put out a 50 track mixtape that's more of a mixed bag, but he's probably the stronger writer of the two and a lot of it calls back to Dipset in a warm and fuzzy kind of way.

Let me drop a few more on 'em: Cousin Stizz - MONDA eLZhi - Lead Poison [Not really sure if this qualifies, but it still deserves a mentions] Gensu Dean & Denmark Vassey - Whole Foods Has-Lo - Hard Writer Jay IDK - Empty Bank Khary - Intern Aquarium [This is personally one of my favourites of the year] Killer Ben & Twiz The Beat Pro - Invincible Ben Kweku Collins - Nat Love [Another album i would call a personal favourite of the year] Reks - The Greatest X Tonedeff - Polymer Torae - Entitled Tree & I.B.C.L.A.S.S.I.C.S. - I.B.TREE Ugly Heroes - Everything In Between Westside Gunn - FLYGOD Z-Ro - Drankin' & Drivin' [For an artists who puts out as much inconsistent work as Ro does, this is his most thorough album in years] 24Hrs - Open EP / 12:AM [I called this guy the next big thing back at the beginning of the year - people are now catching up]
