I just think that album has too much bs indie rock pandering, and there's not a single album on that list other than Idlewild that's even average, you know?

And nah, maybe you're thinking of me re: another artist or another poster re: Outkast. How would you rank their albums?

really tough ranking their albums but Aquemini is the undisputed #1 for me. agree that it's in the conversation of top #3 hip hop albums ever. Even calling Idlewild average doesnt feel right to me lol. Its a pretty good album!

    Aquemini
    ATLiens
    Stankonia
    Southernplayalistic
    Sir Lucious Left Foot
    Idlewild
    speakerboxxx/love below
    (that second Big Boi album)

I get that there's some value in Idlewild but Stankonia has so many stone-cold classics. And I mean, "B.O.B." is maybe the most ingenious rap single of the century.

I remember when I chose Stankonia for the RateThisAlbum thread I'm further convinced that it isn't as popular with fans as the other Kast albums. I know some older folks that say that was their favorite album.

Discog wise, Future, Young thug, kendrick, j cole, gucci mane, kevin gates, could name alot more. Also most ppl disregard older artists like kanye, pusha, juicy j, jeezy, t.i, lil wayne, etc when talkin about this but they are still dropping great music in the 2010s

Disagree with all of those....Biggie's discog was flawless although it was only two albums. Future sounds like he makes the same song every time I hear it, to me at least. I'll never get into that type of music though. I loved Kendricks first album and his follow ups were good but boring. J Cole puts out incredibly average albums. T.I. in 2010s?? Hearing anything Young Thug puts out gives me PTSD from remembering Narsh posts and I can't understand anything he says. I'll never think any of those artists are better than Outkast, Wu-Tang (especially their solo projects) Ice Cube...that's crazy to me

Well i guess thats just your personal preference, but future, thug , etc. already have some of the most consistent discographies in rap.

T.I is dedinitley still good, he's adapted his style to fit this era which only a handful of artists have done. Paperwork, bankroll mafia and Da Nic ep are all solid projects and i suggest checking them out if u havent

Also wu tang has a terrible body of work apart from like 6 albums

I like T.I. but I thought Paperwork was terrible lol...I don't know how you could compare that album to something like OB4CL, Liquid Swords, anything early Ghostface put out

you do realize that young thug is highly controversial, right? he's polarizing. sure, many people think he's really good, but there's many who would say he's not that good as well. point is.....there's not much clear cut praise for young thug and that's pretty hard to dispute

Im not talking about general consensus cause thats irrelevant obviously.

Young thug has put out plenty of good projects, though his style might not appeal to everyone you cant take away the fact that his discography is very consistent.
