May 21, 2015 Idea: If you really want to implement this @Koolo, why don't you decrease the points for making threads until the 100 threads trophy a little bit, so that you have to do sth special (e.g. help S80 with the app, 500 thread, etc.) to reach plus status? You will reach plus status at the latest when you do 200 thread. I'm still not down this 200 threads idea, but this will be another possibility for the members to reach plus by doing sth special.
May 21, 2015 Ya 200 threads is way too much and will lead to more spam and threads that have already been done before. I mean certain sections genuinely have nothing to talk about i.e. Eminem section and people creating even more threads will further make things too messy and unorganized. I feel keep the thread trophies as is now and increase likes and posts or as someone said have a repost trophy or referral trophies or something
May 21, 2015 I think some of you need to keep in mind these requirements show longevity, loyalty and how active you are. I don't plan on making 200 threads, but for someone to post that much over a long period of time would prove to be a valuable member of the forums. Plus Member isn't really prestigious if it's easy to get.

May 21, 2015 Well, I do have the longevity. I've been around for 4 years. I am loyal because this is the only forum I contribute or donate to. And like I said, I'm only semi active. My money is actually irrelevant until Koolo chooses to reward those that donate.
May 21, 2015 As already stated, a lot of members don't even make threads... let alone 200. It just wouldn't work very well. I agree that it shouldn't be easy but I wouldn't even say it's easy as it is now. However, I do think it needs a buff, but a fair and balanced one.
May 21, 2015 I make a thread every once in a while, and at my rate I might get it before the end of the year or next spring lol. Koolo has already said there are current and future ways to get Plus. 200 threads is just one way. What you said though is kind of the point. The members that do make threads would stand out from the rest.
May 21, 2015 I highly doubt you'd make 200 threads in a year without doing at least a bit of spamming. I feel you're underestimating just how many threads 200 is. Nobody even did 100 threads naturally. Here's what I think the bottom line is if you buff it to 200.... people are either gonna spam at some point to get a bunch of threads done quickly or just give up entirely. Maybe there will be the odd person that does one a day but that will be the equivalent of finding a four leafed clover. Also, Koolo didn't say that. If this idea come to fruition... the only other way will be 10k likes/10k posts. I think he's open to the idea of other ways to get plus but he didn't say there definitely will be. unless i missed it somewhere mate? EDIT: Anyway, I'm not gonna do all the talking for the minus members... if they don't like the idea as well, they've got to be willing to say something about it too.
May 21, 2015 Not sure why you guys are reposting that. It's already been said and everyone should know that already. Real talk having high posts/likes should count more than it does. All the users that should be plus already (vets), would be plus and or would be plus sooner if you made 5k likes a nice sum of points. By the time you get 5k likes, you will have already been a big part of the site.. obviously popular and obviously not a spammer, since people liked your s---. It could give a nice chuck, that otherwise would be gotten from 100 threads. So few people have 5k likes already and are barely hitting 3k,4k which would bring you pretty close to plus.. but then you would also need 3,4k posts which would bring you to like.. 93% Then you just need like 75 threads for the rest of the points. Overall, threads just need to be worth less to discourage users like myself or bot from making too many threads. As you can see, members with 4k + posts and 4k + likes are already plus. Members like @Kon @VMO2 @Peter Parker @Deadpool @FullSpeed @rapmusik @able with 3k+ likes are already plus worthy. Some would just need few more posts or threads to finish up. Users like @Bot, @csw62 have high post count, but low likes, they would not be plus because the likes play such a large factor. They would need more likes or more threads to achieve plus. Steady users like with 2-3k posts/likes @LukeS80 @Zep @JMG and myself would be getting close to plus off posts and likes alone, but would definitely need threads to get plus early. Likes are the way to go. Sectioneighty is still a pretty new website and users are just barely getting to 10k posts/likes.. users that are admins/plus already. It's not like anyone is even close to that and they could get plus a lot easier anyways. Just break the points up into milestones every 500 likes/posts. People can't spam their way there because of the likes holding so much value. Trustttt. @Koolo
May 21, 2015 I'm not underestimating making 200 threads. I know it's difficult. I'm concurring with the current requirements. The only other way I was referring to was the 10k likes/10k posts. I may be assuming, but normally when Koolo thinks or talks about implementing certain things, he normally does. Especially if the general consensus likes it too.

May 21, 2015 It's not even me though, you have 3.3k likes already, you would be semi close to plus but because you have only 1.2k posts you would still have a ways to go. Plus some threads. It's your post/like ratio that puts you as a notable member.
