It's hard to judge so soon. Notes has some of their best songs, but also their worst. Swan is great but a product of it's time. Some cheesy songs, and weak productions hurt it. AT is there best and most polished for me. This is like a updated Swan song, more fun than anything, and a lot of energy. I think it's somewhere in the level of Swan and AT for me right now.

Awesome. As long as it's better than NFTU I'll be happy. I don't think I'd call it a bad album, but it's definitely their only album that's disappointed me so far.

Yeah Notes has some really bad songs. So far the only song I could see myself skipping on this one is Live Forever.

Imma need that mention when this leaks. I'm going to stop listening to the new songs that come out so I don't ruin the whole album, becuase I listened to like 4 of the songs like 10 times a piece already.

I'm going to do a full review on the album soon as I've listened around 6 times already haha. However these are my plus and negatives so far.

+EVERYONE is on this album. It feels like a effort was made to have everyone work together. Notes sounded very separate. Like each had their own song and such but this one has multiple members doing something on multiple songs.
+Diversity is huge here. While I enjoy Notes it suffered from trying to rebirth the sound of AT again but a bit more mainstreamed. This goes for a more mainstream feel on some tracks, some dark hip-hop sounds, and a bit of hard rock thrown in.
+Funnyman doesn't s--- on this album
+Charlie is in way more
+A lot of experimenting. Ssome meh, some great.
+No horrible tracks

-I wish had 2-3 more harder rock songs
-Take Me Home is imagine dragons copy-cat song
-Little too mainstream at times with the choruses


I'm sure things will change but really, it's an enjoyable album from start to finish. It has it's low points, it has it's very high points, but one thing I will say that it does better than notes is energy. Everyone seems so much more invested into this album, and it shows. I think this will branch out and welcome new people into the band. While it may leave some of the harder rock fans from AT and Notes disappointing.

He actually sings on "Take me home" and he also does screams on "Let Go" that are pretty epic. Also, backing for certain songs from what I saw in credits.

Just ordered Best Buy version, giving me two more exclusive tracks. d---, I've gotten every single deluxe best buy edition from them. The one time I use bestbuy haha. Did Swan have a best buy exclusive?

Same here. I'll be at Best Buy first thing Tuesday morning to get this. And it's not just HU they get exclusive tracks for all kinds of artists. I buy all my CDs there.

I don't think Swan Songs had a Best Buy exclusive. Pain was the iTunes bonus track though.

Can not wait for this album! I'm driving to Best Buy asap Tuesday morning to pick this up. My Best Buy is 30 minutes away so you know I'm dedicated lol. I have only heard a few songs, I really want to be excited for my first listen but I did come across this gem a few minutes ago, absolutely amazing,

Seems people are split. They either love this album or hate it. I think long time fans will enjoy it. I think fans of their newer stuff, especially Notes, will dislike this. It's def missing a lot of harder rock songs, and think many new fans miss that. I don't mind them not having as many because I like their party songs on this one. Saying that, I do hope next album is half and half. Cause I love their hard rock too haha. Let Go and f--- the World are my s---.

Initial impression after my first listen: this isn't as good as Swan Songs and AT but it's definitely an improvement over the disappointment of NFTU. The Best Buy bonus tracks are great. I'll post a review after I listen more.
