How are you with money?

    we could save a lot if we really tried but we never do. We do but dont live pay check to pay check if that makes sense. With one of our checks a month we have plenty to pay mortgage and utilities. Our 2nd checks we should be saving, and we do about half the time, but we usually just buy s--- we dont really need.

    We put a lot of money into our house and i recently increased my percentage in my 401k. I want to retire by early. So im ok with money. Could be better, Ive been worse.

    Terrible it runs in the blood though its the reason i dont have hot water my internet sux and bills always late skating on thin ice.:'(

    Chad Daddy's loaded baby, but on the real, C-Wizzy doesn't spend much. He gets the most out of what he's got, knowing he can get something he really wants because his new money was told by his old money to respect their elders.

    I rarely buy material things, but I'm a sucker for going out to dinner/drinks/shows/etc. My bank account has been pretty stagnant all summer, but I'm making an effort to start saving as of last week.

    Not going out drinking saves you sooooo much money (overpriced drinks + uber + some sort of hangover breakfast...it adds up quick).

    I'm a big spender when it comes to dinero, but lately I've been saving.

    Got 1400 in savings so far, still shocked I've reached that far.

    One thing I always think about like when we're all talkin about how we're all broke/blow our money etc. Imagine if we (well majority of us) actually had to pay for our movies/music. f---

    Sometimes if I have a lot of money I'll just buy ridiculous things until it comes time to pay bills then I buckle down

    i guess this thread is more specifically about saving, but my biggest ongoing problem with money is simply one of organization. working freelance is great in a lot of ways, but you're constantly invoicing and re-invoicing and your cash flow/payment schedule is not as predictable as it would be if you worked an office job. on the other hand, it's taught me to never procrastinate on bills: i paid my October rent yesterday, because i have plenty right now and figured i might as well.
