    1. Inspiration is everywhere
    2. Take care of a natural flow
    3. Listen to different songs and try to copy various flows. You'll improve as you have to constantly change your writing so that it fits the flow.
    4. Practice, practice, practice and fun.

Homie, you just trying to improve your writing? How long have have you been rapping for? Anyways I don't really think there's a such thing as "great lyrics", it's all subjective. Some people think DOOM is gods gift to rap, and some people think Soulja Boy is gods gift to rap.

First of all, more multies/syllables/metaphors/internals/etc doesn't equate to a good lyricist, yes it does impress, but a truly great lyricist can do any amount of that while having incredible flow and delivery. What's the point of complicating lyrics if you can't convey it properly/sacrifice flow? Although you still want to keep from doing basic rhymes like cat and hat after every line. Yup, lyrics are a tricky subject.

The only thing I can say is to write, practice, write, practice, and write everyday. Eventually you'll have gone through so many crappy lyrics that you'll have nothing left to write about except for greatness. Example (not a good one but meh), after writing everyday, I'm slowly finding myself trying to rhyme things I said before in a different way/look for other ways to say it, see what I mean? This leads to more creative lyrics rather than bland straightforward ones (that some people really enjoy).

Looking at what you think are great lyricist and analyzing them is a good thing to do as well, but do more than one, diversify yourself my dude.

To be honest though, that's just icing on the cake. You know how many mainstream rtists say bull but are so well received because of their cadence and delivery? Yeah I know, you want to become great, but you'll get there in a few years I'm sure.

    I write a lot lol

I literally just started writing rap a month ago. Thanks for the advice, bro! How many hours a day do you write, and do you record as well? I'd love to check out your music if you've released some.

It's corny but write whats in your heart man. Whats in your soul. It's gotta come from an honest place. You don't want to just copy someone else. Gotta find your own style/flow and refine it. Also I would say really study your influences. And than study they're influences. Rap genius is a good play to start. Check out rhyme zone to help with your vocab and to help yourself complete rhymes if your stuck and don't know how to continue. Also listen to all different genres of music. Rock, Hip Hop, Jazz, Classical, even pop. Study everything. Expand your mind and your influences/sound. Reading helps expand your vocab a lot as well. Also look up the book how to rap. It has a blueish grey cover. I've never read it but It's been suggest by many people. It contains experiences and knowledge from different artists. Thats a good place to start. I would also say, give every line some meaning. Not every line has to be deep but I wouldn't just string lines together that don't mean anything. I really enjoyed the lyrics you posted already. I think your off to a good start. Can't wait for the tape to drop bruh

We all want to be great man. If your doing it for greatness you're in it for the wrong reason. I personally do it because its the only thing that I've ever been good at and I love hiphop.
