    Good
Its part of african american culture. Why would a white person want to say it? I say it when Im rapping along to music but thats about it. I have no interest in saying a word that was used to diminish an entire race of people.

But at the same time I dont think it should be a big deal if a white person says it to a friend in a joking manner. If its used in a dergoitory way then its a big deal.

But I am white so I dont really care in the end as to the rules of the word

entirely how i view it in general

idc if people say it or w.e

    and it's not cause i'm white so it "doesn't effect me" it's cause it's a word and unless they're being a c---- with it it's just a f---ing word

    Nah not what I mean

I completely understand why black people wouldnt want anyone other than their race saying it, but I personally feel just the whole topic is childish.

i get that other people might care

but i also think those other people are being big f---ing babies about it and also generally hypocrites if they're going to b---- about someone saying a word that they say unless it's actually some ignorant offensive s---.

like, i don't harp on people for saying fa---- or calling stuff gay

but i do get pissed when they say some s--- in an actual offensive or derogatory manner

    it's about context

also, keeping the word up on a pedestal like some taboo bs ain't ever gonna fix anything

Black people don't want white people saying it because before and during the civil Rights movement, we got our stuff taken by them all the time, stuff like Rock N Roll, where they were disrespected when white people said Elvis was the king of the subgenre when most of his songs were from black people, we as black people are scared of ending up like native Americans and losing the culture as a whole, which is why we get mad when other races wear African hairstyles and s---

    okay but like

culture and the things within it aren't owned by any one people, and america especially has always been a sort of melding pot of different peoples and cultures.

Ive never heard that arguement before, and I do understand it. Although Rock and Roll was a melting pot of lots of genres, both black and white music, I can see this arguement being made. Are you honesrly scared of that though, especially in 2018?

@Biggs this is true as well. Like all cultures mix. Black culture and white culture have "taken" lots of things from eachother. Stealing culture isnt really a thing

But a culture is not just about words or material things, it's about identity, what would you do if the same person that discriminated you wanted to borrow things from your culture

s--- it up? Cultures have always mixed and influenced or borrowed from one another, and always will. I'm not gonna claim ownership over some random intangible thing because someone might be an a------ and misuse it.

And again, neither I nor anyone else own anything from any culture, in fact, near 100% of the things people consider to be apart of their culture or identity weren't invented or pioneered by them as an individual in the first place. It's also not like the only people who borrow from other cultures are discriminatory either lol

UK was the first to end slavery, but I guess you're too busy defending something with no argument to find out
