I definitely became more isolated and full of anxiety. I started working from home full time which led to me increasing my alcohol consumption by a lot. Not good, but I quit that about 7 months ago. Less anxiety now and kind of getting back to pre-pandemic self. Still work from home, but go into the office once a week. It is what it is.

On a more positive note, I feel the time away from friends and family alone with my thoughts helped me to be more in touch with who I really am. I’m only 21 so I’m still figuring out who I really am in this world, but I definitely have a way better idea now than I did before the pandemic. Meditation is really helpful to me

My first child was born 2 months into the pandemic…also 2 months into working from home. I got to spend every single moment with him and I’m a better person for it. I was there for all of his firsts.

still working primarily from home, and he’s in daycare now, but having that time together during the first year and a half really solidified my role as a parent. I grew up with a single Dad, and to be able to foster a relationship with my son while maintaining a healthy relationship with my partner is the greatest experience I’ve had in life.

Yep I now leave the house with a mask, face shield and gloves on, I also have 18 scars from the vaccines and look like a Herron junkie but it could be worse, I could have got covid!

Personally, my life changed a lot since the Pandemic hit.
The many months we were forced to stay inside and there was barely any real social life (bars, clubs, etc all closed) it sort of forced me to be with myself a lot more. I broke up with my, then, girlfriend in the middle of the lockdown so that also helped me because I took that time to see which parts of my personality and life I need to work on and improve. Instead of being distracted by my day to day usual life. So when life started going back to normal I felt I appreciated everyone around me a lot more, I still feel that way.

Work and money came and went during that time, so that was kind of hard but I'm doing great now.

My father passed two months into the pandemic (unrelated to covid). But between covid and that in the last two years amongst other things, life is completey different since Jan 2020.

yep, i became lazy and my main office clothes is pajama at the moment.
I also don't go often to the shops anymore and have lots of stuff delivered to my door. My most usable app ever is slack sms at the moment as we are using it to deal with the customer complaints in a real time.

It didn’t. I was already prepared. Told people on SL to get ready for it, but they wrote me off like Nikola Tesla. I’d stock up on Hazmat suits, in case of nuclear radiation. The prices really shot up is the bad thing.

I went from working in a hazardous and laborious job to moving half way across the country and now working a office job with 3 days a week remotely at home and the other 2 in office.
