Mar 18, 2015 Same for me, a guy in another forum posted snippets of this mixtape and I was in the lookout (2010?), it was dope so I looked for more of his (and then Kendrick's) stuff. It took me a while to check out Jay Rock and Q, but I've listened to Soulo and Kendrick a lot during these years. Before S80 came out, I prefered Ab Soul's music, then I started appreciating Kendrick and his earlier music (the EP, OD etc) more.

Mar 18, 2015 My cousin sent me a link to a k-dot mixtape a long time ago. Ignored it, listened to Overly Dedicated and got into him. Then realised that K-Dot and Kendrick are the same. Went back and listened. Turned out to be YHNIC mixtape.
Mar 19, 2015 Was a huge fan of Drake, then when GKMC drop I realized he had a feature on Poetic Justice. I downloaded the entire album and got hooked every since. From GKMC, I went backwards to SXN 80, OD, C4, etc.
Mar 19, 2015 Listening to pandora in 2012. Swimming pools kept coming on the hip hop radio, and I didn't even know who he was, and I hated the song at first. Then I actually listened to the song and I realized how great it was, listened to a few more and I liked them all, listened to gkmc and realized it's one of the best albums I ever heard, and the rest is history.
