Jan 7, 2015 fair enough the buildup to the fourth bad guy verse and him simplifying the rhymes to sound like matthew is not for everyone i for sure get how the album's production isn't for everyone either but rhyme or reason has the three verses coming from the individual points of view of marshall, em and shady and i love that evil twin having lost some of its replay value, i can definitely see that ofc agree about the bonus disc save for a few of the main cd tracks i mentioned how do you feel about the flow on don't front? granted it is admittedly very un-recovery esque headlights and beautiful pain are incredible
Jan 7, 2015 - The first three verses of Bad Guy are very VERY forgettable. - Rhyme Or Reason is one of the worst songs of his career. I absolutely can't stand any of the Rick Rubin classic rock songs on this album. - Evil Twin is... meh. Very very average and forgettable. - Don't Front is atrocious. Might be the worst beat he's ever rapped over. this is all i'd disagree with but i enjoy reading all honest opinions
Jan 7, 2015 I have some unpopular opinions myself but he's either stupid as s--- or one of the best trolls ever
Jan 7, 2015 Lmao @ the last verse of Bad guy being the best. It's the least subtle and most in your face so I get why arch dogg rates it so highly The first 75% of the song >>>>> Rhyme or reason is great Don't front is amazing Mmlp2 > relapse and encore Probably as good as recovery overall
Jan 7, 2015 It is the best verse, actually. Don't give me that pretentious crap about it not being subtle. Boring. Ok dad lets WALK, lets have us a father and son TALK! Great concept, s-----y execution. Pure mediocrity. Encore > Recovery > MMLP2 > Relapse Probably as good as recovery overall[/QUOTE]
Jan 7, 2015 Wasnt Yellow Wolf talking a bunch of s--- about his record deal like a year ago? Guess he realized he literally needs this deal to be able to feed his kids because he'll never be able to support himself as an independent artist, due to not being very talented or smart
Jan 7, 2015 First 3 are flawless. Next 2 are dog s---. 5th album is decent but poppy. Last album is dogshit.
Jan 7, 2015 Nope, the last verse with the throwback to his old delivery/flows, etc is the best. And others aren't bad, it's all a great build up to the penultimate verse. The last verse isn't bad either, I like it. It's just too on the nose. How's that pretentious? On one hand, I'm glad that he's this self-aware, but on the other he 1) the verse isn't without it's low points and 2) he follows it up with an album that doesn't nearly live up to this verse's claims (if it was truly a great verse, this shouldn't affect it, but as it stands it does make me like the end of the verse less and less each time I hear it). Underrating the execution. The song sounds pretty great sonically, and I abousltely love parts like the start of the first verse I kind of agree with this tbh, lol Relapse is definitely his worst, and there's an argument to be made for recovery > mmlp2 Encore is definitely underrated to a degree, and, in my opinion, is the last time he had a half-way tolerable delivery (even though it was drugged out half the time). And half the albums pretty great But it has some of the most atrocious s--- ever as well so i'd probably always rate it behind recovery/mmlp2
Jan 7, 2015 I agree with more of that post than anything else you've said in four years. so that's cool I guess
Jan 7, 2015 My old eminem cds have probably aged well... They have been in a storage unit for almost 15 years.
