Dec 17, 2015 i heard him seriously sing a few times throughout the boston show and it was dope each time..he like does different melodies than the official songs. its like he gets bored of doing s--- a certain way very quickly lol. very adhd but yeah for the most part i compare to like the weeknd when he first came up...extremely shy performance wise. Thugs not really shy anymore when it comes to the theatrics of performing, but he deff still is re: his vocals. i have no doubt he'll be ready to rock "Good Times" at halftime like 5 superbowls from now
Dec 17, 2015 This is mostly because of his vocal technique. He sings at very low volume, which allows for him to do a sort of "semi falsetto" backed up by his vocal chords. It doesn't translate well live because he literally can't do it loud enough. What I love about him is that he doesn't let that be a detriment to his performance, he'll go all out and be an MC by old school KRS standards, dancing around, getting the crowd hyped, etc. Ofc Thugger doesn't do this vocal technique all the time, he switches it up so many times through every track it's almost impossible to pinpoint what his technique is. But he's naturally a baritone and that's insane to think about if you listen to his verse on Can't Tell. Older tracks, like for example 2 Cups Stuffed is performed almost like the original because the vocals allow for it.
