Eminem How/Why did Paul allow Relapse be released ?

    I disagree strongly that he has nothing to talk about anymore. He mentioned in his 2013 Complex interview he regrets being so transparent about his family and their drama in the beginning of his career. Now, he refuses to rap about that s---. Family drama doesn't end. Kim attempting suicide and her sister who's the mother of Alaina dying from an OD are great topics for him to cover. Doubtful he will even mention it on Revival.

    Yea that's exactly my point. He won't rap about his personal life any more, which i completely respect, but that leaves him with very little to rap about. Maybe he'll prove me wrong with revival. Who knows.

    I respect it a little. I don't when he makes Walk On Water when the fix is literally in him being open and a smooth flow. Yet he refuses to do both... I hope he proves everyone wrong on Revival..

    Wouldn't it be Dr.Dre and Jimmy Iovine who had that last say on whether it gets released or not? Paul runs Shady, Relapse was released through Aftermath.

    For picking the songs. Both have said Paul is almost never in the studio with Em. Unfortunately, it was revealed that Paul controls which beats Em hears...

    Everyone forgets that Shady has nothing to do with his solo albums. He's allowed to have his label name on his albums simply as a favor. We found this out in 2014.

    Actually, I really think the fact that Em released Fack song on Curtain Call The Greatest Hits album, Big Weenie and My 1st Single kinda songs on Encore and also the fact that he used accents for nearly the whole Relapse record are the biggest proofs of Eminem does whatever the f--- he wants to musically. I can't see anyone letting him release those if they'd had the power to stop him.

    Btw, no Relapse wasn't a failure at all. It did very good considering what it was commercially.
