I've been around since rap basement, then studio leaks and now section eighty. I just never post anything cause I like to read the site more than participate. I feel compelled to post in here due to the fact of my complete 180 on thugger. I hated him 1 month ago. He wore women's clothes, said weird h--- stuff like bae and hubby and sounded like a moaning mumbling idiot to me, honestly. I used to actually enjoy lifestyle because I found it funny that his lyrics sounded like blahdjfkfkfjfkfjdmdndmdmdm....beginning!!!!
Then I heard rarri after seeing it posted here as b-----r of the year. I actually liked it and I hated that I liked it. Then I heard quarterback and enjoyed that. From there I started downloading his library of songs and now Im basically am addicted and enjoy everything he does. Slime season 3. Let gooooo

Think I remember your username form SL

You just gotta look at thug in terms of past vocalists you know..like ODB. For me thug even has a lot in common with like the frontmen for Mars Volta or even red hot chili peppers haha

I honestly used to feel that people on here actually enjoying him and him having his own section was a big drawn out troll. Boy was I so wrong

I honesty see him more as an "artist" than a rapper. He encompasses so many areas.

For real though, I just asked @Narsh what the best tracks on SS2 are, and after listening to them for several hours I gave SS and SS2 a full proper listen.
Listening to DS2 multiple times prior helped as well.

@slimcivic I was the same way. I thought he was a complete joke. Still find it weird that he wears dresses and s---, but then I remembered my favorite rapper used to be a old man whom stayed in his house most of the time :'(

My homie put me on to "Lifestyle" and "Dream" ft. Yo Gotti and I was like d--- this guy can really flow, even though I couldn't really understand what he was saying. Then I looked in to him more and fell in love with songs like Check, WIth That, Never Had It, and a couple others. Don't jam him that much but I do blast him in the gym. The guy is constantly getting on awesome beats

Yeah see I loved DS2 and liked future and Wayne so the transition to thug should've been easy but it wasn't. Took about 2-3 weeks of listening to rarri, quarterback and stunna to wake up. Then I heard halftime, get tf outta my face, power and the blanguage. Each one I liked more than the last. Now I honestly can't skip 1 song, there all good. That old man hermit was also my favorite.

Altough he's still very hit or miss to me, @Narsh is the main reason I checked out more of his music and ended up liking a big part of it

Exactly this. His approach to music is why I love Young Thug, it isn't his bars or anything.

He's just such a creative, and I love it.

It was gradual. I couldn't admit the fact that I like him as an artist. It went against every belief I had. Lol. I just told myself, self "you like the SONG rarri not the artist known as young thug. I went from randomly listening to it, to making it a song in my recently played playlist to finally realizing I'm hating him less and less and started downloading the mix tapes. I had heard rarri on audiomack app and was surprised by it.

Listened to Barter 6 when it came out, hated it. Heard all the hype from all the leaks & SS1 so I gave SS2 a shot along with the @Narsh Young Thug Starter pack. Been hooked since.

It reminds me of how when you listen to any genre other than rap it's just about the vibe and the rythym over the instrumental not just a focus on bars.
