Yes I think that will work but can't find any. ER is my last resort though and I'm sure they will give me some

You should see a therapist. If you already got access to the xanax I'm assuming you see a psychiatrist already (?), unless you get it illegally. Either way, nothing like getting help from an actual professional that can figure your s--- out. Best of luck.

Honestly, I think not being able to sleep is just a side effect of having a newborn

I'm sure it'll get better eventually

too much skress @JMG. cut the caffeine, cut the xans, call in sick for a few days or take a holiday week if you can. Caffeine can suddenly become a f---ing enemy. I used to run on that s--- but eventually made me a nervous wreck. Sober your mind and body. Take some over the counter sleep aid if you can to help get your routine back on track. Zzzquil works for me, maybe you need some Melatonin though. It's a chemical released by your brain to make u tired. you can buy it in pill form. Take it when you want to sleep and don't fight the drowsiness. sounds like you've been pushing yourself too hard.

yeah I think this is like stress induced mild insomnia.
Cause you're stressed, you're focusing on managin your time and how you spend it, you probably think about things you need to do religiously?
This does some fucky s--- with your brain.

It's like your always thinking of what time you SHOULD get to sleep to workaround your stressful life. So you basically set yourself up with a bed time goal in a sense. If that goal isn't met you know subconsciously it'll add to your stress, which causes a mild "panic" or "worry" of sorts, which will keep you awake/making it harder to sleep.

It's hard to explain, but a doctor said I had something similar to this a few years ago. Basically the only way to fix it is to relax more and worry/care a little less - As s--- advice that may be.

Ambien would definitely work like someone else mentioned although for some people they can have bad side effects. I used it for a while though and had no issues, I also had trouble sleeping during this time period but then I got the ambien and it'd knock me out in about 15 minutes EVERY time as long as you're in bed trying to sleep, don't think it ever failed when I did that.

Also JMG I know you got a kid now and this might not be the best option, but smoking even a very small bowl at night can do a good job of knocking ya out for the night especially if you're kinda tired already.

Other wise just try something like nyquill maybe if you don't want to visit a doctor and can't smoke weed? Another possibility is to do an intense workout late in the afternoon/night, some sleep easier if they do something somewhat physical earlier in the day.
