Jul 12, 2015 you're missing the point, and this is why i don't like your posts. i have likes and dislikes, records i think are great and records i think are terrible. everyone does. the problem with you, though, is that you seem to want your likes and your dislikes to fit into rigid stylistic boxes. i like lots of trap rap, and i dislike lots of it. there are backpack records i love. the future songs or fetty wap singles you like are exceptions that prove the rule. you're writing off entire styles of rap wholesale because they don't fit your concept of what Good Rap Music sounds like.

Jul 12, 2015 exactly. how narrow minded, to cling to signifiers like that. as if being "intellectual" is a requisite to be a great song, or as if speaking a certain way or using more syllables gets your point across better. thug has a better command of English than you do. he has more "substance" in his music than in your raps. sorry he slurs words for effect.

Jul 12, 2015 Yes I appreciate hip-hop with substance. Yes I appreciate hip-hop with R&B influence and melodic flows. I dislike thug because vocally I think he's horrible and lyrically he's trash even for commercial/fun music. If I wanna listen to something that is commercial or fun i'd rather listen to a Chris Brown and Tyga joint. (No shade thrown there I like their music together)... I just can't get around the fact that i'm not allowed to have this opinion on Young Thug and it sends WPG and Narsh into a frenzy every time..
