Oct 1, 2015 Hi I'm Ray Jones I'm 19 from Houston,TX, I Rap, Sing, Mix, Master, and Produce my own music (I make my own beats). So let me start by saying I Know the Cover is bland and won't draw much attention, I'm working on that now. The mix is a little hissy, and I'm rereleasing this project in a month with better mixes and new songs. Vince staples Rt my Soundcloud link a couple weeks ago and told me my ****s dope, Punch from TDE has told me the same thing (he even followed me on twitter), and I even got one of the producers from Mike Deans camp to listen and he said I'm dope as ****. I'm basically here to try and figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm thinking maybe I just have to be patient and wait for the right person to listen, or maybe I'm doing something wrong marketing wise. But there is something that i feel is missing to tie up all the tracks together! Oct 2, 2015 On the first song alone, you are definitely better than the usual forum crawler MC. This is stuff I would, and will, listen to for enjoyment reasons. The person you need advice from is @WPG in regards to getting exposure and blog coverage. You should try to get a song with dudes like TUT, Boogie, Alex Wiley, Dr Millionaire, etc. The young people who make good music without TDE or SaveMoney behind them. Once you flesh out your identity a little more, I could see you getting yourself a fanbase. Like, find that thing that sets you apart. Pretty much the hardest part of it all. Post your tape on HipHopHeads with the right title and you could front page on a forum with ~200,00 members. Less talented people have made it that far. J Cole pretty much hustled and good guy'd his way into the top tier of the big leagues so that should give you hope. Make some music videos, try to link up with a DJ who will push your tape, get your community behind you, Etc.

Oct 3, 2015 19 yr old producer/engineer/sometimes-rapper here. It seems to me like you're a very capable artist. It's pretty rare to have these amateur guys who write/record/produce/mix all of their own s--- and can realize their vision as clearly as you can. The only thing I can really say is that things sound a little derivative and similar to a lot of the s--- that's out today, but I only listened to 3 tracks so it's sort of a blind judgment. Potential is there dude, i always love seeing guys who can realize their vision at a young age.
