I have copied the music pieces from my I Pod to PC, to be used on a non Apple phone. The files are all like F00. F01. ... and so on. The music files within these F00, F01...are small. Apparently a lengthy piece of music, such as a symphony, is broken and stored in different file folders. The whole symphony is not all together in one file folder. It is very hard to find what the rest of the sections of the symphony are. For example, where is the Finale of the symphony once I located the Prelude? Can someone help please? Thanks a lot.

Sounds like you used a really s-----y program to rip stuff from an ipod. Nothing can really be done to help you honestly unless you want to use a better program and re-rip stuff

Cyreides: Actually the files were not "ripped" from the I Pod. The I Pod was connected with the PC (Windows 8.1) by USB that came with the I Pod and the files were copied to the hard drive as though it was an external drive. The PC treated the I Pod as exactly another drive and there was no special program used other than that of Windows 8.1. I can still use the I Pod to listen to the music. Should I use another method (program) to copy the files from I Pod to the PC? The reason I would like to use the cell phone to listen to the music is that it is inconvenient to carry to devices and the battery of my I Pod is kind of dying after many times of charging and re-charging. It is possible the files were re-organized before, since there was a time the I Tune locked out my I Pod. I do not remember exactly what happened though. Thanks for your response.

Apple products can't be operated through drag-and-drop like that. Like he said, you just need a program like iTunes (preferably something lighter and specifically meant for this) to do it. Everything should be fine then.

    This should do it: http://m.download.cnet.com/PodTrans/3000-18546_4-75733600.html

Not sure if it's compatible with Windows 8. Let me know.

Edit: This one definitely will: http://m.download.cnet.com/CopyTrans-Manager/3000-18546_4-10842241.html

Thanks Charlie: The positive side is that I was able to copy all the songs and music pieces of shorter length (smaller files) on the PC and have moved to my cell phone. The problem is with the longer pieces of music such as concertos or symphonies. I will have to use my original CDs and copy the music to the non Apple phone. I like Apple products in general, but do not like their proprietary platforms. Thank you all the same.
