I wasn't going to reply but I feel the need to make sure we are on the same page.
Kendricks message is empowering, it's powerful, it has meaning.
Eminems message is random babble about psychotic s---.

    We are still together right?

By that fact/logic, yes Kendricks music would be the music that would have the effect I stated BECAUSE it is powerful.

You actually proved my point you realize this right…

And I wasn't going to do this but, yes you're correct.
I'm just gonna make a list of all the users that pull the "lol eminem stan" out of their a----s every other thread until we finally shame them.

I agree about your comparison of Eminem and Kendrick here but to say Kendrick's message is going to start a race war or lead to the brainwashing up White America on a Nazi Germany level is absurd. That's my point. Especially considering the album isn't even out yet. I'm not going to dignify the rest of what you said with a direct response because, as if it wasn't already clear, I'm engaging in conversation with a child. Stay blessed.

Agreed. First off... Kendrick does NOT hold that much power in his lyrics. It's different for Pac, because Pac was actually militant. Kendrick isn't. He's more of a "keep-the-peace" type of guy from what I can see. Secondly, if this were ever a reality.. this would've started happening around the Section.80 era. Thirdly... the higher ups would be more concerned about a politician talking reckless, not a n----- from Compton. Fourth, Ice Cube talked on these issues, and in a much more raw format than Kendrick has. And finally... If the world's biggest rapper didn't inspire kids to go k--- their mothers with chainsaws, I think 27-year-old Kendrick Lamar will be fine. We need more positive Black messages in rap anyway.

I agree. Plus. Kendrick isn't going on some extreme s--- Pac used to do. At least not currently. Many other rappers and artists talk about Black love and equality. We JUST had the movie Selma come out, nobody ran to the stage and put a pistol to Common's dome. People are looking too closely to the Kendrick = Pac comparisons. They're not even the same person, and I would think Kendrick has more common sense and would've learned from Pac's mistakes to not go down the same road he did. So there's that.

honestly Kendrick talking about Lucy so upfront and then calling us out on Mortal Man for not doing anything about Michael Jacksons murder (and the others..) has me worried for his safety..

he even has the balls to include tupac talking about the spirits..

    maybe they won't k--- him

i just feel he's in danger.. some stupid news is gonna break out about him.. trying to make us see him negatively

It would be quite the drama if s--- started to pop off. Personally I'd like to see some cultural shifts happening b/c of this guy but who knows if he has enough power to incite any change. Time will tell.

Oh & btw, the ones dismissing Kendrick being able to incite a race war should maybe not dismiss it so quickly. Don't underestimate Kendrick's ability to connect with the hood atleast in places like LA & Compton. Maybe race wars won't happen all over the country, but he could get s--- poppin' in his own neighborhood I guarantee that.
