    I think we're witnessing the beginning of the end. The albums trash, he's trying to nickle and dime his fans to push tidal and I still can't believe this whole changing of songs and now going back to change ithem again. It's like Dre with detox except we get to hear and watch the nut job destroy his career from front row seats via Twitter and tidal.

    If Kanye's gonna truly release a masterpiece out of this mess then it would be the equivalent of reading Go Set A Watchman before To k--- A Mockingbird- no one needs to see this mess if intentional, not even if it's Kanye's mess

    This rollout process isn't going to go down in history as a moment that defined anything, no one will know about it or even care 20 years from now when they pick up this Kanye album from the store- only those people who had to deal with the frustration of it now. This will be a moment of history that will likely (and thankfully) be divorced from the album's music with the comings of new generations- there's nothing magical, deep, or historical to make out of it. It's not art.

    a. im citing ur own disclaimer lol. ur aware this in stanning
    b. i haven't either. but rather than twist it into some profound act of performance art or whatever, just call it for what it is: a promotional platform. for his fashion line. ambition and neurotic egoism have always been central pillars of ye's art, but this feels like he tripped on his sword.
    c. keep tossing shade at the fact im 30. it means im smarter and more successful than u. i got the girl, the job and im a better writer. s--- it!

    but i feel like in the past his ambition + neuroticism have lead to him perfecting his craft, not gleefully throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. even with yeezus, he had rubin help him reel everything into a deliberate project.

    this feels like he purposefully went for the exact opposite approach. that's why i love watching it unfold.

    makes more sense to me than kanye suddenly lost everything that makes him a great artist and is scrambling
