Dec 6, 2015 Not really. I used to listen to Jehst, Akala, Lowkey, and Rhyme Asylum so I picked up on the UK scene a bit.
Dec 6, 2015 Is he smoking crack? Was he not on the Intro for Pharoahe Monch's "W.A.R." album? He should know the difference between American rappers who respect the craft and those who don't.
Dec 7, 2015 Nobody in the world is close to Stormzy right now. NOBODY. Shoutout to drake, asap mob, t.i. and kanye for promoting the grime scene in the US
Dec 7, 2015 Disagree about US hiphop losing his way but agree that sometimes it's corny as f--- how rappers act like they're bad boys. Overal it's a part of hiphop tho No idea who this guy is btw
Dec 7, 2015 I'm only sorta just getting into it, so i've heard a bit but not a lot. lock arff bangs. Skepta, JME, Stormzy, Giggz (always f--- up the spelling of his name). Along with a few SBTV freestyles and other songs here and there. The scene in Aus is getting fair bit of traction. A lot of aussie rappers are adopting the style sorta. JME and Skepta actually get club play quite regualrly
Dec 7, 2015 Skepta was kinda the "break through" artist in Aus with Shutdown. All the people who I know that like rap are now branching off him/JME and into Stormzy. @TommyGun you're on the money all my boys are bumping him atm
Dec 7, 2015 Yeah there's a massive stormzy bandwagon right now. Skepta is a veteran though and I feel like 2015 was a massive year for him in terms of international coverage.
