Mar 28, 2016 Alright, Future may not be right behind, but Drake aint safely ahead either. Future's got two #1 selling albums in 7 months, he's gettin d--- near equal radio play to Drake here in the states, big name artists of genres outside of hip hop are promoting him, & collabing with him, it's only a matter of time before one of these collabs gain major traction in the mainstream scene. Future is the runner up rn, if Drake were to leave the game, Future would have the biggest chance of taking his spot (unless he f---s up & falls off as a rapper) As for Thug. Yeah, rethinkin that, he isn't even all that strong in the mainstream tbh.
Mar 28, 2016 Drake sells 600k plus first week. Work, Hotline Bling & Summer Sixteen have done better than any future song ever.
Mar 28, 2016 When it comes to album and single sales... No one is able to do what Drake is capable of. Future? Young Thug? Both never even sold 500k copies in the US. Drake always easily sells 1,7m copies+ with his studio albums. Who can keep up with that? Young Thug with his predicted 25k sales this week? lmao. Edit: A number 1 album doesn't mean huge sucess. It might debut at number 1, yet fall like a rock. That is what usually happens with Future's albums. None of this rappers have the same fanbase Drake has. Not even in the slightest.
Mar 28, 2016 He's far ahead in them sales, but Future's still second in line, & the dudes only growin, gettin closer & closer. & lol, Stick Talk, Blood On The Money, f--- Up Some Commas are in that range too. Whether it be in radio play, youtube views, whatever.
Mar 28, 2016 Slaughterhouse have a #1 album lol. Nobody atm has the mainstream presence of Drake minus JB
Mar 28, 2016 Luke wonders why we all make fun of him and think he's r-----ed but this man really said Logic lmfaoooo
Mar 28, 2016 Why is Future "second in line"? J. Cole s----s all over Future with his sales, hype and fanbase. Cole improved his album sales with each album. Forest Hills Drive even hit 1m copies sales a while ago. Kendrick follows. You guys might check out some sales recaps on hip hopdx. Just because you release three albums a year doesn't mean you're the artist out there. Future's last album dropped like a rock for an instance. Just streaming keeps it up. Drake's streaming is unreachable for anyone in the game. Not sure about Eminem, since he is a streaming monster too. But his new album will debut in this strong streaming era for the first time. So that is yet to be seen. But Future's numbers don't compare to Drake's... Drake gave him his first Gold album/500k sales... Someone said Future's getting closer and closer... Receipts please? lol.
Mar 28, 2016 hey whoa don't knock logic he came thru the struggle bro he raps about it in every song. you don't want none with his poverty bars
Mar 28, 2016 Who's been dominating for the past year in popularity, in hip hop? Drake & Future. Drake with his album, Future with DS2 & his mixtapes, all of which got massive attention. Sure Cole has more sales with FHD, Kendrick as well with TPAB, both got hella attention too, but Future's been gettin more plays than them, & for a longer stretch of time (due to his frequent releases)
Apr 1, 2016 Tbh no one will ever actually replace Drake because his impact could never be matched exactly. He's easily one of the most important figures in my music of the past decade.
