Jun 29, 2015 They took the rap game in two different ways when they started, that's why they have different fanbase and different approaches to music in general. For me, it's like comparing two different genres. People would be more shocked if Kanye wasn't the one who made those awesome soul sampled beats for example than finding out he isn't writing his music, in the same way would be a shock if Em didn't write his own lyrics. that's also cuz of the images they have portrayed of themselves during these years.
Jun 29, 2015 as good as recovery was, it was literally "fill in the blanks" album for Em...he almost did no hook on his own nor built a beat from scratch with any producer...it worked on recovery cuz it was something new for him so i feel he took care picking the right ones...then he went full lazy mode

Jun 29, 2015 Well if he had a ghostwriter now that would really mean he isn't being creative at all with his new music. Ghostwriting in my definition is somebody writing a verse, handing it to the artist, and the artist rapping/singing word for word. I would definitely have a problem with Em or any artist for that matter doing that.

Rhyme or Reason, So Much Better, Brainless, Berzerk, Rap God, So Far, Evil Twin, STIW, and Love Game don't have premade hooks and concepts. whether they are good or not is a different argument. then again, the overuse of samples was kind of ridiculous too. somewhat of a cookie cutter way of production but that was on rubin more than eminem. eminem's fault for using them though
Jun 29, 2015 Let's be honest Koolo, the only thing stopping Eminem from making a new album with elements similar to TES such as his own produced beats/hooks is HIMSELF! Too many Eminem fans try to say the "Record Label has demands" for the bs Pop features/ label cd beats we've gotten since his return. It's sad when Eminem truly feels he's a top 5 if not the best rapper currently, yet he hasn't put out anything spectacular in half a decade
