Jan 9, 2016 almost stopped reading but i got $$ to win so ill entertain you well, to be fair, em also has bad lines on mmlp, infininte, sslp, TES, devils nights, bad meets evil, shady xv etc. he has bad lines on every project. every rapper has bad lines on every project. also, how does having bad lines disqualify you from being a rapper? you have to be a rapper to have bad lines in the first place lol lol thats not how it works lmfao. if kendrick has 3 classics, kanye has 6. and whether or not kendricks worst album of the 3 (TPA is better than kanye's worst (graduation) is irrelevant. you're ignoring how good the individual projects are relative to each other. there are also kendrick also has tapes you're ignoring. what does this even mean? are you implying we havent heard all of kendricks music? lol because there's a legitimate argument to be made for kanye
Jan 9, 2016 Of course Em has bad lines in all of his albums, but he is a better RAPPER, my point is that you use that argument against Em, but not against Kanye (also for me the best RAPPER is not Em) , you should know that more than everybody here. Kanye is by FAR better artist overall btw. Second, that's why i said TECHNICALLY, kanye has not 6 classics, he has 6 at least very good albums (some of them classics) but if you want to take Kanye's first 6 as his full discography then i will do the same for Kendrick, and i'm sure that if we take every song from the artists (Kanye or Kendrick) that CONSISTENCY falls off for everyone, that's why i took just the albums (TPAB>every Kanye album). Finally, what i implied is that i doubt we all have listened to EVERY respectable rapper discography to declare a winner.
Jan 9, 2016 Ehhh idk. TBH all of Yes albums are amazing.. But I mean theirs always that 1 or 2 tracks that just shouldnt be their.. And some of his lyrics.. Em > Ye for me still even if he drops another MBDTF. But I dont see SWISH being THAT good. I tihink we will get a 808s level good next
Jan 9, 2016 Plus you can just feel the emotion Em puts in his tracks way more than Ye. For example: SFTM, 8 Mile, Lose Yourself, Rock Bottom > Runaway, Diamonds, Through The Wire, Jesus Walks. But thats just me :P Still.. HUGE Fan of both. But EM > YE for ME Both one of the GOATS

Jan 9, 2016 There's more to rap than punchlines or whatever you're considering a "bad line." Kanye is a better rapper than Eminem. Em is more techincially than kanye has and will ever be. That's not enough. Also Kanye has 4 albums better than every single one of kendrick's project, except maybe gkmc (or maybe tpab). We count kanye's 6 albums becuase he has 6 albums, kendrick doesnt just have 3 albums. he has OD and EP as well. Kanye has been working at a higher level than kendrick for longer, its that simple. word to ur last point, there are plenty of incredible rapper i havent even heard a single song from let alone their entire discog

Jan 9, 2016 wtf... Yeah kendrick only has 3 albums but all 3 are amazing and were incredibly well received so by definition, its a flawless catalog. (just like Danny brown for example, he only has 2/3 albums, but its still a flawless catalog). And Outkast have one of the best discographies in hip hop, they have never dropped a bad project and most of their albums are classics and influenced hip hop in major ways
Jan 9, 2016 mixtapes usually aren't taken into account when we judge a rapper's discography, at least most people leave them off the list. I do the same and its coming from someone who has OD as his favorite kendrick project after TPAB. I just only care about albums and for most people kendrick's disco consists of 3 albums. People are also starting to leave Cole's tapes behind (when talking about his catalog) even though they're his best projects.
