i don't know what to say to someone who thinks kendrick's second album is better than life after death. i'm sorry, but what? when's the last time you listened to it? and each of ghostface's first two are better than kendrick's first two.

Life After Death is so overrated. I feel like if he didn't die, it wouldn't get nearly as much acclaim. Last time I revisited it was like a month ago, prompted by Notorious Thugs on the Southpaw Soundtrack. Scarface is one of the most underrated mc's of all time but I wouldn't say that his first two are better than kendrick's.

I love Kendrick but imo he'd be viewed as MAYBE a top 20 rapper of all time... Maybe. People in the real world don't love Kendrick the way we do here at sxn80. I mean he's killing it right now forsure but he'll likely need to hit a next level before any more em/pac/big/jay/nas comparisons will be widely accepted and debated

have you misread "ghostface" as "scarface"....in two different posts?

life after death is a staggering achievement.

Ya'll gonna act like Life After Death isn't the best hip hop double-disc of all time :what22:

Biggie or Tupac. Biggie released 2 classics, as has Kendrick.
If he died now he'd be immortalised as a legend who never fell off.
If Nas had died after dropping It Was Written, he'd be the same.
If you're dead you can't get any worse than you were when you were alive.

Have you listened to Ready to Die or Life After Death? If not, that's the only way you could put GKMC & TPAB over them. I still can't believe people are calling TPAB a classic.

I can understand if you argue that TPAB and GKMC are better--sure, all good albums being discussed, that's fine if you feel that way....but to say that you don't see how people could argue that they aren't?

Biggie's albums have both stood the test of time for years and years.

You can't honestly tell me that you can't see how people can argue that Biggie's are better than Kendrick's.

That's insulting to RTD and LAD.
