Good post.

He needs Dre to pull his finger out and to give a f--- again for at least one album.

Get DJ Head, get Bass brothers, get the old school sound back and fine some inspiration.

We need someone or something to piss him the f--- off I fear.

At this point, all he needs is a little ignition because, technically, he's better than ever.

people respect rhyming and lyricism. obviously I don't know his exact process but for me, if my technics were this far ahead of everyone else, it would give me all the inspiration I needed to be able to say just about anything that I felt and feel like no one would be able to step

there are stories that take just a few bars of xv that 1999 eminem wouldn't have been able to flesh out over an entire verse

tbh less individual components need work than you think. it seems like it's more of an issue that shady surrounds himself with literally no one on a permanent or at least semi so basis in the same league as him who actually knows what they're talking about in enough of a capacity to confidently say ok, the story is hollywood level now, you're gonna murder it with this or that crazy scheme, we've decided not to go external, now get it mixed and send it in cuz the writing f---ing bangs

if doing tracks like don't front and what I imagine goat 2 will be like have revealed anything it should be that the people em should be making this music for appreciate the time it takes to come up with some inspirational s--- and a real way to say it, and that finding just the right producer or just the right way to reveal the overarch to the slower segment of the audience or overdubbing every awkward sounding syllable is somewhat of a backwards approach because listeners who don't get it in the first place pick up on self doubt like that without even knowing it

my advice is to try harder to just be himself instead of what everyone he asks' idea of the goat is

and if he needs inspiration, to use the things he's done and the things people, and you know which ones I do and don't mean, continue to say about him

I'm not sure if it's related to some bigger psychological picture that he can plainly see where his tech is at but not that he's still able to weave a mesmerizing storyline. but if no one has said it before, drugs don't do s--- if you're a hack and they also don't do s--- if you're a genius, and the numbers only prove this further

listen to me carefully. weed, x and booze don't make your music better if you're on them when you write or record it. they can help you appreciate nuance later but if your mind isn't crystal clear when you're writing and especially recording, no matter how good or bad it is, people are going to notice. fast

I realize that winning that doorstop took a lot more out of marshall than he thought it would

but if he can realize he passed his prime skill level in every aspect in 2011 then I'd feel, well, as good knowing he knows it as I do knowing it myself

and I have a very strong feeling his confidence in the notebook and on the mic would both get an adrenaline shot

As his strengths seem to lie on nostlagia at this point, I'd step away from new solo albums, focus on his new artists and release a series of Lost Tapes from the vault. They could collect the best leaks, bonus tracks and unheard gems from the different era's of his music in HQ, something no fan could resist, and it would require little promotion.
