Nov 8, 2015 Accept it man, he's said music isn't his first priority right now, it's his family. Obviously I miss the days when we got a Ye project basically every year with only a few gap years, but I'd rather have him drop a classic album once every three or four years than rush a mediocre one every one or two. edit: though I'd love to be proved wrong and have it drop soon
Nov 8, 2015 Tf are you talking about? I was speaking about Travis saying "swish coming soon" Oh Travis's music is awesome btw
Nov 8, 2015 I think it'll be top 3. The material he's been putting out has been close to flawless over the past year and a half. Seriously, collabs and solos and fashion show debut. Only One, Wolves, All Day, FourFiveSeconds, Fade (I Feel Enslaved), Blessings, Nobody, The Summer League, he's captured a marvelous sound on everything he does. He hasn't been on one corny track if you ask me. He's in the mindframe to make what could be, sonically a magnum opus. But to me Kanye really hasn't slowed down whatsoever in his career. I'm one of 'those' who feel Yeezus was a great album, Cruel Summer was good for what it was, WTT was iconic, MBDTF was once in a lifetime, so on and so forth. Fact of the matter is there's no reason for me or anyone who enjoys his music to believe SWISH WON'T be at least a fantastic album. Only thing I'm unhappy about is I feel like the promotion has been toying with my emotions and when I get told something and it doesn't happen I quickly lose interest. So do a lot of people. I'd just really like for the album to come out by the Summer of 2016, that's all I'm asking for. I just can't stand hearing "this is cookout music" , "this is gonna rock the summer" , "will be out before memorial day" and then it's fall 2015 and I'm SWISH-less lol.
Nov 8, 2015 Yeah, S80 was the one determining all his deadlines for him. Be mad at yourselves for assuming more than you should.
Nov 8, 2015 Nah, hopefully better than Yeezus but Kanye just doesn't seemed that focused on music anymore
Nov 8, 2015 I think it will be painfully average for Kanye, yet good compared to his peers. So...Cruel Summer, except all Kanye.
Nov 8, 2015 I honestly believe that if Ye wanted to, he can top MBDTF, we just haven't heard him do it yet. Yeezus couldn't/wasn't meant to be compared to MBDTF because it was a short, brief, polarizing album that was made for him to vent, he didn't have the same goal in mind as MBDTF; SWISH, on the other hand, looks like it'll be comparable to MBDTF, because he's been putting a lot more time (more than MBDTF even) & energy into this album, it really looks like he's trying to craft a masterpiece again, judging by his perfectionism.
Nov 8, 2015 I'm sure he'll drop a dud someday, but I honestly can't say I'm worried about this at all!
Nov 8, 2015 Yep, from what we have heard so far, it's good. But nothing has shown me that this album could be one of his best.
Nov 9, 2015 As long as it's as good as or better than any of his last 3 albums, it can't disappoint me
Nov 9, 2015 I don't really follow Kanye but I've gotten an impression like he's not as invested in this project as he has been with others, which could lead to the final product suffering. That's just me though.
