Oct 7, 2015 I've never thought of "The Kids" as one his better songs but those lyrics are ridiculous.
Oct 7, 2015 lol We understand his punchlines and wordplay. They're just not that good. They come off as forced and extremely corny. Back in Eminem's prime, he didn't have to force anything or try hard, everything was just natural for him.
Oct 8, 2015 "too complex for casual listeners" I'm not a casual listener. But also, the evidence is clear. Eminem's flows, enunciations, rhyme patterns and structures, poetic devices, cadences, his mastery and manipulation of phonetics is completely alien, especially if you are also a rapper listening to him rapping. Its a total "what the f---?" experience every time.
Oct 8, 2015 It's really not as advanced as you're making it out to be. He sounds like a B rated, modern day battle rapper. Honestly, there are tons of battle rappers today that do,what he does, better. From his syllable patterns, to his wordplay/punch lines, they are forced. Not to mention he has zero rhythm.
Oct 8, 2015 what does this even really mean? lol forced? no rhythm? show me some battle rappers who can "do what he does, better" what a weak analysis, coupled with a weak argument watch yo step n-----
Oct 8, 2015 Your emojis make you look bad, I wouldn't go with that approach. Anyways, where should I begin? What wordplay, punchlines or syllable patterns blow you away by modern Eminem? Once I see that, I'll gladly provide examples. Also, yes. Eminem has no rhythm now. How can you even argue that? He's monotone and robotic when he raps, and when he screams, it's forced emotion. You talk about enunciation, and the guy doesn't enunciate like he used to. He raps really fast, then stops, then fast, and stops. It's why most people call it "the stop and go flow".... Meaning there's no cohesiveness to it. If you listen to Eminem "in his prime", he had one of the best flows. He had charisma, and he rode beats perfectly. He enunciated, and had perfect vocal inflections WITH the beat. The last time he had a natural "flow" was on Recovery, but his delivery (meaning voice) was forced on most songs. He doesn't even use his natural voice, most of the time. I mean, look at a song like The Way I Am, and how he rides the beat. He would never be able to pull that off now. His flow would be all over the place, and not in a good way.
Oct 8, 2015 tl;dr in other words.. your entire argument is based off of subjective unquantifiable nonsense so I didn't bother reading it. eminem's rhyming structures, flows, and techniques, since day one, have been leagues beyond his peers, regardless of the era.
Oct 8, 2015 You love contradicting yourself, don't you? You say you didn't read it, then say my "entire argument is based off of subjective unquantifiable nonsense" So, which is it? Did you read my entire argument, or not? It looks like you're the one with the "subjective, unquantifiable nonsensical argument." I understand though, it's hard to have an intelligent debate, while providing examples to support your argument, so you have to resort to cheap, gimmicky defenses. Step down, little n-----.
Oct 8, 2015 If your argument is technical rapping, the old Em was still better technically if u sit down and dissect it. Only thing the new Em has is he can cram more words into less seconds. Which is ultimately pointless.
