Oct 10, 2015 Rapping goes beyond just forcing mutlis and overall technical ability. This shouldn't even be a question, old em.
Oct 10, 2015 For every good line that current Eminem has, he'll have 50 awful ones. I seriously think comparing current Eminem to Dizaster is reasonable, or to most B-rated battle rappers. Diz, who I'm not a fan of, seriously kills Eminem with his own style. That fast, multisyllable s---, mixed with wordplay and visual imagery... Diz is way better at it than Eminem. Never mind top battle rappers.
Oct 10, 2015 There is a difference between rapping and just rhyming words fast as f---. I like his new s--- but SSLP alone crushes most of his recent stuff.
Oct 10, 2015 I agree. I'm not a fan of Diz but I tell you he's a beast. Especially the s--- he says in his battle against Canibus about Eminem murking Canibus..
Oct 10, 2015 Appreciate the edit but, as MMLP is widely accepted as one of the greatest rap albums of all time, period, I was using his debut to make a point. I've made cases for Eminem time and again, I'm still a fan, and honestly it's only possible because I had to finally lower my expectations, and give up on the Slim Shady I grew up on ever poking his head up again. I still respect him cause he still teaches me things about rhyming I never knew, if it wasn't for Em, I would still be a cat in the hat type rhymer. Mad and glad a--- rhymer. He manipulates words in amazing ways, I'm still intrigued, but as far as his ability to do is fluidly while telling stories or not sacrificing flow or content just to sound good. It's hard to explain. Most of the examples I would give are on SSLP.
