Nov 12, 2017 My name is was 36, stan was 51 (top 5 hit every where else lol), the way I am was 58, stuff like Sing for the Moment, Superman, Mockingbird were all just outside the top 10. Eminem top #10 hits # 4 TRSS (2000) # 2 Without Me (2002) # 4 Cleaning My Closet (2002) #1 Lose Yourself (2002) #6 Just Lose it (2004) #8 When I'm Gone (2005) #6 Shake That (2005) #1 Crack A Bottle (2009) #1 Not Afraid (2010) #1 LTWYL (2010) #3 Berzerk (2013) #7 Rap God (2013) #1 Monster (2013) He's had more top 10 hits from his last 3 major releases than from his first four. Number 1's were rare as f---. People just got used to it in recent times and assume he was doing the same in his prime.
Nov 12, 2017 its not that simple, the competition was way harder back then, there was way more money involved in the business and the labels were producing really expansive singles and pushing it really hard. A number 4 in 2000 means way more than a number 3 in 2013 or number 1. its no wonder the super producers from the early 2000 are all gone, the money just isnt there to pay them anymore.
Nov 12, 2017 Imagine thinking it’s harder to get in the top 10 back then with artist like Adele Taylor Swift drake Kanye etc now anything to discredit eminem along with having an eminem username
Nov 12, 2017 Are y'all being serious? Not, really? Southpaw and Shady XV aren't Em's albums, dumbasses! Still Shady Xv went GOLD because of Eminem. MMLP2 is 4x Platinum US and Walk on Water is near GOLD in just 2 days. Y'all haters just gtfo this section please.
Nov 12, 2017 Song is brilliant. I could care less how it does on the pop charts, although it appears tp be doing quite well. I am looking forward to the rest of the album.
Nov 12, 2017 cant wait for the album to flop(by ems standard bc yes the album will still sell thanks to the marketing machine em has behind him) and hear what defense youre going to come with.
Nov 12, 2017 Why do I care if it flops as long as I like it lmfao I don’t go around giving a s--- if things break records or anything. I don’t give a s--- about any of this I just find it laughable as h--- the s--- you come up with.
Nov 12, 2017 what I find laughable is you comparing 2013 to early 2000 music wise. now hip hop is the main genre but back then it wasnt and there was way more diverse and popular music playing on the radio.Way more superstars being pushed by their labels too.
Nov 12, 2017 how old were you in 2000? I feel like you werent even old enough to know what im talking about.
Nov 12, 2017 Imagine arguing with someone named Eminemson or taking what he says serious you can quote me all you’d like with your delusional “facts” but I’m defintely not taking what you’re saying serious
Nov 12, 2017 too low of an IQ to understand that my nickname is sarcastic, not surprised. post recovery eminem fan/apologist at its finest.
Nov 12, 2017 “f--- the message f--- what he’s saying if it’s not gonna sell or be number 1 it’s not good” - samesongandslim or whatever his sarcastic name is
Nov 12, 2017 Can't wait till Em will sell over 1 million first week in US and y'all be fckin shuted down
Nov 12, 2017 The performance made me appreciate the song a bit more... Koolo's post about the way he paints pictures with the lyrics is dead on. You gotta appreciate the music while it's here. The song has really grown on me and I still have hopes for the album being solid. I said in another thread it's almost the statement he was trying to make was "I know you're gonna pick this apart, so f--- it, I'm just gonna do what I do and that's tear s--- apart the rest of this album". If this isn't the intro, then I'm hyped to hear whatever the intro may be. And I'm still in the group that believes this album is coming Friday. People are just worried because they haven't officially announced it or put out cover, tracklist, etc. But the surprise release factor is still there and I think it's coming Friday for sure.
Nov 12, 2017 Lol this has been the number one talked about song since Friday yet you guys think it's flopping!???
