Oct 18, 2016 blonde is one of those critically acclaimed artsy albums that everyone eats up and i completely struggle to enjoy on even a basic level because it just doesn't engage me at all. like, none of it offends my ears, and it's clearly well put together, but the entire time, i'm just waiting for something exciting to happen and it never does. it bores me
Oct 18, 2016 For me I wasn't anticipating it that much so it's def not a disappointment because I really like it although there are some flaws. I, in general, don't mind the more chill vibes and lack of drums, I think there are some really beautiful moments on hear, but I still think it drags a bit at parts and probably could be cut down about 10 minutes. Also the last song really had the potential to get even more and more epic and become a goat frank ocean song and I think he f----- up by cutting it shorts and putting in some weird snippets of ppl talking. Like I guess that could've worked somewhere else but that song had too much potential. still love the album and has hooked me more than channel orange (which I liked a lot but it never hooked me and had me bumping it a lot for some reason.)
