Sep 24, 2015 This conversation is bringing back a lot of great memories, I miss dj-ing parties at college There was no better feeling than when you get showered with praise and make sure everyone has a good time.
Sep 24, 2015 Yeah all my friends like rap but def like indie rock and electronic more for the most part. At least they like Kanye and Kendrick and I've been able to put some of them on to Vince/Future/Keef/Thug.
Sep 24, 2015 Vince was super easy to put people on to. for some of them tho it was just the act of me going back to my Kendrick stanning roots rather than this thug/future "phase" haha Keef is like impossible to some people on to...they don't see any redeeming qualities cuz Keef rarely takes him seriously lol. Or at least the songs those already sold on him like to bump are ones were Keef is purposefully being carefree, but those uninitiated cant place it in context Thug it's as simple as "can't understand him don't like him!" For some people which I can't respect tbh. Didn't respect it when it had to do with punk or metal, and don't now lol Future gets easier and easier to get people into but there's always those people deaf to current culture and act like listening to future is the end of the world b/c it's not em tech 9 hopsin Kendrick or j Cole
Sep 24, 2015 Being in control of the music at big, college house parties when Thrift Shop blew up was the worst. Had to beat the white girls away from the PC to keep them from playing that s---.
Sep 24, 2015 Keef's stuff from Finally Rich seems to be pretty approachable to people. My friends loved when I showed them Hate Bein Sober, lmao
Sep 24, 2015 Dude you can't even imagine how it was in WA. We literally wrote "no Seattle rap" on the FB invites.
Sep 24, 2015 What kind of f---ing people listen to king kunta at parties what the actual f--- Boston whack as s---
Sep 24, 2015 we get crazzy spanish b------s here in boston who think every1s tryina dance to their native music for some reason or crazy white b------s who want to listen to panic at the disco or like dropkick murphys cuz bahston
Sep 24, 2015 When it first dropped I didn't mind putting it on the first quarter of a playlist I'm talking like 10:00pm music when people are first showing up and s---
Sep 24, 2015 King Kuntas a crowd pleaser, I don't mind it personally. Keep in mind WA is filled to the brim with white people. But then I gotta play Get Nekkid by DJ Quik and Mausberg because it's basically the same song except an actual party song. Edit: basically the same song beat wise but came out 10 years earlier
Sep 24, 2015 Don't talk s--- bout the murphys I can honestly say I've never experienced this in my life. Literally every party or get together I've been to has been migos, Gucci, thug, future, Travis, a whole bunch of trap mixed in with like Dom Kennedy and action Bronson
Sep 24, 2015 Although at house parties it leans more towards Danny brown and edm but ya know. Never king kunta
