Jan 26, 2017 I think Snoop is a much bigger sell out , Cube doesn't have a song with PSY nor jumps in everytime the hype goes I understand Cube has made family movies so is appeared as a "sellout" for his transition to movies but Snoop is a bigger sell out than Cube as far as music goes Cube nowhere near the biggest lol , hes not too corny but he isn't as connected to hip hop as he was lets say between 88-94 I don't hate either by any means necessary , both west coast hip hop legends , respect , they get a pass for it
Jan 26, 2017 He used to be portrayed as a ruthless hard black man throughout Music (NWA, Death Certificate) and Movies (Boyz N The Hood, Friday Series) and now he stars in that stupid a--- movie about a teacher fighting another teacher. Like that is a great plot.. Imagine 2013 Drake f---ing heavily with the old Chicago scene. You see him posted with the draco, he posting thotties he f-----, smoking dope to Take Care and making drill music. Him doing those things would consider him a sellout, as he choose a scene that was generating buzz and popularity over his original portray of a decent soft spoken rapper.. ^ half of that will probably sound stupid to you, but money's money I guess
Jan 26, 2017 would u also be doing ignorant thug rap until ur over 40 and got a family? also smh at the snoop shade itc, hes successfully branched across more genres than any other pop artist like how can u hate on that
Jan 26, 2017 I didn't say I hated him , I said he's a sell out for jumping on different trends because of popularity e.g PSY or whatever his name is or Jason Derulo I'm not saying do "ignorant thug rap" lol but some s--- that Snoop has done in terms of rap is very very corny
Jan 26, 2017 50 has mediocre albums throughout , GRODT is s--- Cube has SOC a classic album with NWA and has 2-3 phenomenal albums by himself + has a long range of movies and is very versatile How tf is 50 versatile using the same grimy beats all the time ?
Jan 26, 2017 Your right This is shocking , heard 20 seconds and chipped Cube went from the master rapper to this? I don't mind adaptation on trap beats or something like that but this is corny af and shocking
Jan 26, 2017 I just think he tried to score a hit, i doubt he will ever do anything like this again lol
Jan 26, 2017 They definitely exist but they're both good albums and therefore have no place in this discussion Go To Church > anything 50's done in the last decade
Jan 26, 2017 I understand Cube has classics and all but this is about relevancy and staying true to yourself. I will always play "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" to death but unless Ice Cube is a marketing genius, he's a sellout.
