Nov 29, 2017 you could make a serious argument that Jay opened his career with six consecutive classics. I'm not sure I would, but you could do it credibly.
Nov 29, 2017 Nah, I like 4:44 and it's exactly what I want from an almost 50-year-old Jay-Z, but I'm not sure if, especially in the scope of his catalogue, it could quite be considered a classic. It's a tier 2 jay album for me, but even a tier 2 jay album is really good.
Nov 29, 2017 Invalid point tbh given he produced all of the love below and wrote every song on the cd so yeah he does
Nov 29, 2017 I'm not saying I would put forth the argument, and I definitely agree with your gripe. I just think I could be the laziest defending him. His catalog and influence make it really easy. Bar Kendrick Lamar going full Tiger Woods, he'll probably supplant him in a decade. Not sure where you stand on that.
