Flow is obviously learned but I guess I can see where you're going but once again Earl is arguably more poetic would you base that on him having a talent or the fact his dad was poet

Talent is an innate aptitude. Have u ever heard the phrase raw talent? As in someone who hasnt had any formal education, guidance etc. to perfect a craft but shows natural ability...

Yeah exactly, there's just always a difference between learning how to develop the skill and actually having a natural touch

My voice is s--- and I will never be an opera singer even with 500 hours of training. How do you explain those that are born with the voice of an angel and perfect pitch? If that isn't talent, what is it then?

Wouldn't that be more of luck though as their not naturally inclined to sing music. The most realistic view on talent imo is like when someone is naturally better at problem solving than most for whatever reason so they become a mathematician something like that.

How is being born intelligent any more or less lucky than being born with a good voice?

Exactly idk, Certain people are born with the ability to do certain things IF THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT and others are not, like you said you may never be able to be a singer but the average person may be, but could end up with a desk job. With that being said though I don't think being born with a soft voice is necessarily a talent.

Talent and work ethic are different things. You can see that in sports. In the junior years some kids are way ahead of their peers because they are naturally talented, they're faster and their spacial awareness and hand eye coordination is better. But then as kids age and become adults other people catch up to them because they work hard.

Same with drawing - some children under 12 can draw really well but if they don't work hard to nurture that talent then other people will develop their skills and surpass them
