    It made me puke as well, tpab s----s on mkl lol. mkl doesn't even compare to sxn80 or CD

    I mean the only reason YG is better than Kendrick now is cuz he's been dropping hot music but if you were to ask me who's the best rapper out of the three main choices (Kendrick, Vince, and YG) YG might be last.

    No not really.

    TPAB is a good album that takes on an impressive scope, but it's very bloated and the more I listen to it the less it holds up. MKL I hadn't listened to for a few months, then was amazed by how good it is when I did. Just because TPAB is more complicated doesn't mean it's better - MKL takes on a much smaller scope and is much more successful at it.

    he's my 4th favorite, but hes just a guilty pleasure. I wouldn't have any problem to admit yg is actually one of the weakest right now.

    This. Not to mention that tpab is better in every way. Kendrick was a better rapper on sxn80, but kendrick on tpab is still a better rapper than yg on mkl

    that tpab is also better in every musical aspect. It lived to its ambition.

    tpab can still stand strong against most of my favorite albums from the 70s/80s... mkl doesn't stand strong agaisnt most west coast albums from the 90s.

    Tbh. MKL is ok, but its overrated... can't compare to tpab. Just a sxn80 thing

    I wouldn't go that far. I think he makes "easy listening" music but his s--- is pretty safe and generic.

    Album def reminds me of some of the west-coast influenced No Limit albums from the late 90s, except that YG sounds like a less talented Nipsey Hussle on some of these tracks.

    My list is:

    1. YG
    2. Kendrick Lamar
    3. Vince Staples

    Kendrick imo is the best artist of those three, but YG makes the most compelling music for fans of the traditional West Coast sound by forward progressing a sound we've loved for decades.

    I don't think any other rapper from the west is in the same league as the 3 stated above.
