Sep 11, 2015 I honestly don't even understand this... Mature doesn't mean entirely serious. Young Thug is capable of taking moments of serious self-reflection or commenting on affairs both personal and related to society in general. The fact that he can play it loose and just talk about having fun doesn't make him immature, it means he has life experience. If your definition of mature is always talking about "conscious" topics (a term that's cringe-inducing in its own right) then you're either a kid with a naive perception of your elders or a sad boring person. Young Thugs raps, while not deep enough to brag about to your philosophy major freshman buddies, is still mature in its own right.
Sep 11, 2015 having 100 different styles seems like a pretty good sign of a mature artist...it doesnt solely refer to lyrics lol. this is such a stupid question/thread
Sep 11, 2015 I'm an 18 year old who spends all his time doing dumb teenager s--- and even I know this c'mon guys be a lil more open minded
Sep 11, 2015 I wouldn't say it's a stupid question, that's just being a d-ck. OP admitted that he may not be "getting" it and instead of being dismissive Young Thug hater #9000000 he decided to come to the forum and specifically ask those educated on the topic for guidance...
Sep 11, 2015 I feel like I'm slowly turning into narsh, me and him both responded in the same way. Time to slim up, grow a bitchin hair/beard combo and rap
Sep 11, 2015 There's no sense debating we are still going to walk away with our same opinions Enjoy his music for literally any other reason than maturity. I just do Not see it you must just have a more refined musical pallet and be a more evolved person than I
Sep 11, 2015 "We're both gonna walk away with our same opinions!!!" is such a dense n mundane way to look at things Also, no one said his "maturity" was why they enjoyed his music. It usually is his lack of maturity that makes it a freeing experience. But the question was if he was a mature artist, which he's proven to be. Smh
