    I'd love to knock to sense into that kid. The fight would be less fair than this whole conflict though. He would atleast deserve it . Let's do it.

    yeah, it's easy to misinterpret tone on forums, and even more so when it comes to discussions about stuff like this. I don't think you were trying to stir the pot at all, but I'd assume as someone with Egyptian heritage @Chrollo probably encounters a lot of yanks/europeans saying ignorant s--- about his country even during peace time...and tensions are higher for obvious reasons.

    reminds me of when @Oldboy had to tell arch dog he wasn't Egyptian like five times because his dumb a--- didn't know that Saudi Arabia was a country

    I'm jumping into 'The Conflict' while it's in its 48th season and trying to do as much reading as I can before watching the finale...I can only google so much before I'm curious enough to ask a question here and there-- but I am trying my best to catch up.

    at this point even if the hospital explosion was from a malfunctioned bomb from Hamas (which is NOT), would it f---ing matter? Decades of extermination already happened, how much death must palestinians endure?

    Im devastated over this. Fathers carrying the remains of their children in a f---ing plastic bag. And I have to read stupid a--- bs from people like @Enigma . At this point I rather argue with a full blown facist than a nuanced liberal.

    I explained it earlier in the thread here:
    He’s well aware of the US’s actions around the world, he champions it but uses the veneer of liberal language to act as if he’s being intellectually honest, ignoring the obvious power dynamics & the flaws in his “evidence” & “research” by citing arms & agents of the state apparatus with vested interests in the status quo.

    But their own arrogance of Western exceptionalism has led them to believe liberalism is an unstoppable force, not realising the house of cards it rests on is on the verge of tumbling down, as the Global South rises up with China & Russia leading the way. BRICS+, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, OPEC+ & Belt & Road Initiative, it’s over. The world has had enough of the bullying & the masses are waking up to the type of violence projected onto the Global South with Palestine. It is a beacon displaying atrocities for the world to see on a daily basis in front of their eyes. There is an ongoing genocide being broadcasted onto our TVs & phones & we have these sick b------s debating about the authenticity of one attack whilst children are being mass murdered in real time.

    Nothing more obvious that the most violent empire to ever exist is on its way out than to see it ran by geriatric half-alive zombies fumbling around almost accidentally starting WW3 annually whilst the American masses become increasingly divided with each other, over culture wars (as MAGA was also a rejection of liberalism). America is a powder keg waiting to explode — the mass shootings are already like clockwork. Maybe when this happens it’ll give the rest of the world a f---ing break.

    who knows tbh. hamas claiming 800 dead, so it's probably more like 100, but that's not the point. the latest on x-verse:

    it was a failed launch by __
    it was a targeted attack by __
    it hit ammunitions that hamas stored at the hospital
    it's all faked by hamas and propoganda
    the building isn't collapsed, but whatever it was hit the courtyard and killed people outside the hospital

    we won't get a straight-forward answer, but either way this will result in nothing good

    Just quickly glancing through it now, mainly the view of historical claims & the pop psychoanalysis of why Hamas is fighting, that it’s ‘not for resistance/liberation’ — which seems to only stem from the fact that he disagrees with the methodology, which I don’t understand because liberation & decolonisation has never been peaceful, it’s an ahistorical statement. Also, the weird “Hamas would execute the ACAB lefties” — really reduces the analysis into cheap ungrounded jabs when he had a lot of great points in the meat of his writings.

    He also failed to acknowledge Israel’s role in propping up Hamas to keep Palestine politically divided too. Also saying that everyone at the festival was innocent just completely ignores the daylight brutality of settler-colonialism that they can be partying next to an open-air prison that’s terrorised & mired in poverty & desperation on a daily basis by actions of their government! Let’s not forget that there is mandatory military service in Israel as well, no matter which way you put it, that’s an endorsement & complicity of the regime. Of course what Hamas did was horrible & an act of terror, but to not acknowledge these facts is to allow the situation to be distorted, in my opinion.
